In this quick tutorial you'll learn how to Outline Polygons in Cinema 4D so that you can easily create precise texture maps inside of an external app like Photoshop.
YESS this video helped me so much! Nothing in particular but some dots finally connected. Properly understanding the Materials panel with "layers" and textures in channels within the UV Edit page was always my final boss
I have a project in c4d and I want the texture exported out. How can this be done? Is there a way to export the png in the color tab? Then I can make my own materials in the other software I was going to use? Another way is the embed the textures right into the fbx, but I tried this and still didn’t work. If this worked then all I would need to do is bring in the fbx with embedded textures and it would be sync in my other software
I don't usually comment, but this was so useful i had to. Thank you, UV Mapping on this version is very confusing, don't know what where they thinking.
Hey guys. I have got a problem, could u help me? I am doing label for beer bottle. I made a uv map, saved it and created a label. Downloaded it in the material texture and it fits perfectly, nothing stretched or distorted. The problem is it’s blurred on the bottle, however in the texture uv editor it looks clear. I tried to save texture in small resolution like 2045 pixels, bigger one 4089 pixels and remade the label couple of times, result is same , it is blurred on the object. What could be the reason of it? Thanks
@@shawnastrom you are genius 😃 I didn’t render it at all. It is blurred just in view manager😅 I can’t believe that I remade label 50 times, but didn’t come up to render the picture 🤦♀️ Thank u for your time.
Just another way of doing it. I do all of my UVs in Rizom UV these days and they have a very simple two-click solution called "Export UV" that I much prefer.
can someone explain how to make my texture with logo seamless? I need only logo on my object without colour, how to make it without a colour?? plzz someone))))
@@etourushadze9043 one simple way that comes to mind. If you don't want to mess around with the UVs, you could place the logo on a plane and essentially apply it as if it were a sticker if that makes sense. Otherwise you'll have to UV unwrap the model and place it onto the texture
What a ridiculously overcomplicated process just to get UV maps out of C4D. Maxon get your shit together. I'm coming from MAX and Blender and this is just a one click thing. 'Export UV layout' bamm, you've got it
Yeah it's a little cumbersome. I use a Rizom UV for any serious UV unwrapping anyhow. But this video was just to show how it is done in C4D. Hoping they'll add an SVG export option soon...
c4d sucks rly, to export uvs so much to do and its not working in 2023 with redshift) Cant believe they still making money from this soft just waste of time when in other programs its 1 click button export uv projection))))))))))) I'm just mad
