Love the plans on this build. Can’t wait to see it come together ! I grew up working with junk just to say I had something. I own a 1973 nova I’ve been building for my daughter. Man I hope she loves it just as much as I do!
It's good to see you're out and about! The last time I saw you you were in hospital bed! You can never have too many know this! My 70s come along pretty good hopefully when I get the motor and tranny and I can bring the 68 Chevelle home! Love the Channel it's nice to watch normal for a change!
Oh so you did get it! Haha I saw your comment on Facebook about wanting it 😅 looks like a great deal lol awesome Ouch on the 4 doors not looking as good as a 2 door haha even though you're right 😂
@@Shop209haha hey we work with what we got and I've really gotten to love my 4 door, possibly because of how much hate they get even though they take the same parts. BTW "Natural Disaster" is a GREAT NAME 👍
That's very cool your videos have kept me rolling on my 71 had a question though I re skined my nova and new quarters but I think I have a door sag as the bottom towards the quarters stick out and look like they need to go down also I did change out my pins a d bushings any Info would be amazing thanks for the videos. Keep rocking
I am lovin it !! Those damn Maine boys 😳😂. Excited for another project and more on the budget build too ! Bout to get my 70 out from winter hibernation. Take care John
Any idea on what the backspacing is on the wheels? I'm figuring if they have a good bit, leave them on the car, and put wider tires on them since they match up with the paint it has now. So this is frankennova version 2 aka natural disaster. Do you have a big block you can shove in it? Everyone knows that's a good start for the torque. Gotta say I'm slightly envious of you because you always find interesting novas, but they need a bit of work. I WISH I could find even one nova at a decent price where I am. I find barely running roadkill specials, and they want an arm, leg, something private, and your first born it seems.
@@Shop209 Booooooo!!!!! Bummer about the rear. There are some production numbers on paint listed at the bottom of the “RPO Codes” page. I looked for 11L for the antique white lower body code and there’s no production number. And nothing for the G green vinyl top. Most production numbers for paint were for 4th gen years. The only production numbers I have are: 1972 Novas built = 349,733 2 door coupes = 260,215 (74% of total production) - 163,475 V8 (63% of 2 door coupes, 47% of total production) 760 Green Vinyl bench interior = 31,182 (9% of total production) C08 Vinyl Roof = 62,411 (18% of total production) [all colors included] JL2 Power Disc Brakes = 42,974 (12% of total production) L14 307 2-bbl V8 = 129,403 (37% of total production)
@@Shop209 Thank you but I think your RU-vid channel is a treasure. I thought I loved Novas a lot you you sure put your money where your mouth is. Good thing you wife is okay with it. My ex wouldn’t have been! 🤣 Keep up the great videos. I love ‘em!
Love nova's built my first 69 nova from junk yards in 1976. Built my last one a 71 prostreet nova BBC, spent 3 years on that one, finished it last year. Did you get a title with it?
Hey there! Quick question I’m hoping someone on here or shop209 can help me with. I have a 1973 Nova 2 door I need a front and rear windshield I found a 1973 4 door nova are the windshields the same??? Love the channel btw!
Hey. The 4 door front windshields are taller and won’t work. They’re actually pretty hard to find. Maybe call a local glass shop. They can usually get a nova windshield in a day or two. Mine was in stock and was only $300 installed.
Going to install a new headliner in my 70. The bows weren’t marked in what holes they went in to. Can you help with the location from front to back? Apprec. It
Yo bruh I’ve got a 1974 complete running Nova California built that i picked up n OKC last year that I’m looking to find a good home for they tried to flip it n to a 69
I've got a junk LS engine you can have absolutely free! You could rebuild it and put it in one of these novas! Have you done an LS swap on a nova yet? Can't remember
@@hippiemiller , I got a little small block 327 that eats big blocks for lunch , Makes 450hp and screams to the moon at 11,000rpm , pulls both front tires off the ground in 1st and 2nd gear, it's in a 66 Chevelle Super Sport with a M-21 Muncie 4 speed trans and 12 bolt posi and weights 3200lb Is this what you call an economy engine because the 283 small block can be built to out run a big block engine in the quarter mile , I also have a couple 307 small block engines which are 327 cranks in a 283 block
I paid $500. I don’t know why you think it’s worth only $100. Disc brake subframe, complete rear seat, 10 bolt rear, good glass other than windshield. That’s at least $1000 in parts without even trying.
