I don’t know how I would’ve gotten by without a pogo stick. For those without one, it should be on their list of tools to get. Take care Jerry

You're absolutely right - It should be right up there with the DA 🛠😊✌

When I first learned autobody,30 yrs ago ,mind set was go for the center of the dent first,but as yrs passed,learned when car gets hit,first goes the center then goes the edges.And in autobody you work in reverse,which means last thing that got damaged is the first thing that needs attention.

Eddie Barrera, I remember those days. Paint and technology has changed drastically (metals too ) to make many repairs easier. PDR for some dents as well without the longer process. I’m an advert dyi guy . Learned so much from Jerry .

Nice work Jerry! I just made a shorty pogo today out of an old jack handle and some chain. I put it to use on my Ford Ranger using tabs welded in place like I’ve seen in your other videos. Works great! As always thanks for the great content.

That's great to hear 😊 Good idea using a jack handle 👍 You're welcome - those rangers are tough as nails. Had a 4 cyl ranger with 275000 miles on it - still ran like new when I sold it :)

You do really nice work. My dad was a body man but he stopped when I was about 3yo. We would occasionally do some work in the garage on an old truck and even did work on an old combine we had for the small farm. I’ve always wanted to get slightly more involved in body work but never knew exactly what to do or where to start. These videos along with the little bit of knowledge passed on from my dad are helping. I really appreciate the shorter videos and the to the point explanations.
@LakesideAutobody

Glad you enjoy them my friend. I'll make a video on the basic tools need to start doing body work - been wanting to do that for some time. Other than that, getting a project car/truck is best place to start. Any ?s just ask - I get to the comments (all) 1-2 times a day. 😊

It seems odd to me that you can pull a dent out while hitting in on it with a hammer, but there it is! You do excellent work, it's a joy to watch!

Very nice repair . But darn. The rain was for just a few seconds.. i love working on cars whiles raining outside and the garage door is open and having a large supply of beer. Question - Have you heard of the "Steck 20014 stud lever" . I think this tool really helps with applying leverage to the welded pin while hammering on the highs. Please make a review of this tool. Have a good day man.

Do you put on highbuild primer on before the filler so the rust doesn’t penetrate through the filler ?
