I was part of the built team led by the bearded man in the beginning. Almost everything was made on the place with handheld tools. We gathered every now and then to build it for a day and then go to sauna and grab few cold ones. It was definitely the most interesting project I have worked in.

@@Kodaiva It is far from shoddy. The beams are 20cm by 30cm laminated wood. The frame is held together with 24mm bolts (lots of them) and the reinforcements are made from 8mm thick steel. All ropes are custom made by a professional rope maker. The whole thing weights several tons and it has been launched dozens of times.

How waterproof is the backpack?

I agree, is not humanism, the strap is the big problem for they, i think. So you get revision savotta

@@adelonmachina792 they have fixed it... with Kahakka 15L and Kahakka 25L. And I guess you can buy pads/straps as accessories from their store, or replace the straps with whatever you like.

Brother the backpack is like 15L you're not packing much into it. I have the M version which is double that at 30 and it has a side zipper where you can then open the whole backpack

There's no proof to be had in any case, unless you get a test result from a certified laboratory. Although I doubt any laboratory in the world does trebuchet tests of any sort. If you saw the experiment with your own eyes, you could believe it, but even your friend, who wasn't there personally, couldn't anymore be sure, no matter what you told him/her. That being said, Savotta does have its own (good) reputation to maintain, including the good-enough-for-military one. So, in fact this test, as humorous as it's intended to be, is actually useful for them internally as well. If the pack had been broken, they would have, for sure, tried to figure out why and how to fix it in future designs.
