I wonder if I'm like some others that watch Out of the Woods vids in that I'm not in the wood biz in any way but for some reason love watching to see the slabs after they are cut?..And really like music that accompanies the vids..

I’ve been watching, but was so awestruck I couldn’t think of words to express my feelings! Then TWO words came to me: Magnificently Unparalleled! And my question is: How in the world can you ever top THOSE slabs?! Happy belated Independence Day, Nathan!

Love the idea of getting rid of the pith by just cutting the slab into two. You end up with some great wood. Think too many are jumping on the wagon doing the epoxy filling! Just my humble opinion! Great sawing Nathan, thanks a million. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧

I prefer working alone too (I'm an OTR truckdriver), but I've had a few people I really enjoyed working with. They were: safety minded, situationally aware, I didn't fear turning my back to them around heavy machinery, 2 of them were smarter than me and the other one was apt enough to become smarter than me. Lol

Good afternoon Nathan, I have several comments. I liked the way you started the video with our flag. May GOD continue to bless America. What you cut is an example of how HE blesses us. You have a beautiful garden. I don't know if you are the gardener or your wife, it's beautiful. I would like to see you cut the butternut next. Over the years, I've seen butternut but I think you can even harvest the log better than I've seen in the past. These slabs are some of the beautiful I have ever seen I believe they're worth worth more than $20 A board foot. The slabs in Illinois are not as nice as these.

Since I live in California, and often get home late, I always read what everyone before me has to say...and tonight I didn't think I was ever gonna reach the bottom! I can't recall ever having seen so many folks write in! What does that say about a bunch of strangers all rallying around a worthy cause?!---I loved the drone shot of the garden, and would like to know if you have to chase away deer...!---I loved the ending sky shot (I love sky shots!), and the music to close was mesmerizing...mmm. (And by the way, I'm not voting, 'cause I watch for knots!) (...as I finished typing this we just had an earthquake...gotta love California...)
