Metal / rock fans first time reaction to Sawyer Brown's Some Girls Do while checking out some surprising (at least for Keith) Old Grandad 114. Also, Keith nearly dies.
Can't tell you how thrilled I was when I got the notice for this. I have been waiting for you to see Sawyer Brown. They never really got the credit they deserved. This song is so funny but to hear a more series side I suggest "The Walk" (makes me cry every time) and "All These Years" which is another that really hits in the feels. For a minute there I thought Keith might have been seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. That looked and sounded painful.
@@sherrybrown5295 my first concert surprisingly wasn't country considering that's my favorite genre I use to like all types of music but to me 98% of music newer than the 90's that's not country I can't stand anymore. But my first concert I was 18 and it was third eye blind.
Sawyer Brown and BlackHawk are two blasts from the past that are always on my Playlist. It would be cool if you guys did some Black Hawk. I always thought they should have been bigger than they were.
Good bye says it all, every once in a while, that's just about right, I sure can smell the rain, there you have it, almost a memory now, big guitar, like there ain't no yesterday, love like this
Mark Miller (lead singer) became the only multimillion-selling recording artist ever to sign a pro sports contract at 39-years-old. He signed as a backup point guard for the Continental Basketball Association’s Fort Wayne Fury in Indiana. A former college basketball player, Miller played at the University of Central Florida in 1978-79.
Best reaction to a song EVER!! My favorite band ever! I have never missed a Sawyer Brown Concert, they are the same way during thier concerts as they are in thier videos. They were kinda country/rockabilly See Out goin' Cattin' but they've kinda found religion and don't tour much anymore but thier song Mission Temple Fire Works Stand still rocks, Pentecostal Style. I will keep the Carmel housewife jokes to myself. As for the Bourbon...don't die on Camera, they will turn it into an NCSI episode "Death by Bourbon" lol I like watching y'all for several reasons...1 You never fail to make me laugh even when I'm not suppossed too. 2 I'm a country fan as well as metal ( I'm almost 50) we listened to everything when I was groing up from Bluegrass to Gwar. 3. I've found some bourbons I actually like, without y'all Iwould have never heard of them. And last but not least if I need a gift for someone who I don't really care for but social nicey nice has to be played, I learn from y'all what to give them as a gift and what not too. hehehehe! Last Surgery will take place sometime in October. Battles won but the war rages on.
Oh my, the Carmel housewife thing... Don't even get me started. Ate lunch yesterday next to the stereotype. Platinum blond, super thin, wearing $1000 worth of "casual" clothing, complete with collagen-injected lips. It was impressive from a people-watching perspective. Keep up that fight, and don't inhale bourbon. - Keith
Before there was The Voice, before there was American Idol, there was Star Search! Sawyer Brown is one of the winners of that show that is still making music! "Putting the Dark Back into the Night" is another fun song.
Keith... I totally lost it at 6:20 at the simple words and the big pause of 'Do not inhale'.... I literally fell out! LOVED seeing you two react to Sawyer Brown. As others have said, their songs 'All these years' and 'The walk' are OUTSTANDING. Another popular group around that same time was called Shenandoah and they had a great and similar song called "If Bubba can dance, I can too." It's upbeat, a very funny and likeable video.
Great song, Dustin laughed, Keith almost died, Found out y’all like platypus porn…. I’d say that’s a well balanced reaction! 🤷🏻♀️ However, you forgot to shut the door 😂
I was seven when this one first came out in the Spring of 1992, and I always loved it whenever the video came on CMT back then. My step dad got me their Dirt Road album, which included this song, at K-Mart a little while after that. :) Before that, my favorite from them was their cover of George Jones' "The Race Is On," in which he video taped me singing at the top of my lungs when i was only five, lol. I agree with others here that y'all must listen to "All These Years," especially. "Cafe On The Corner" is another one you should check out, as well, along with "The Walk." I personally think their 90's music is their most raw/organic stuff, while much of their 80's stuff was more slick and poppy. "Some Girls Do" is definitely one of their lighter, more radio friendly cuts, but still pretty good, imo.
Add a vote for Sawyer Browns song Mission Temple Fireworks Stand. It's my favorite of theirs and I sing it karaoke all the time. Its a big hit at karaoke.
I have always loved SB.. that said, watching Mark Miller (Lead Singer) on stage, or anywhere, always made me think that he was an undiagnosed ADD, who found a way to use all that energy. LOL. Keith... I want to say I didn't laugh, I do. I can't. I hope your doing all right.
Sawyer Brown puts on a really great live show. They are still touring. We just saw them last year. The Walk, the Race is On are great songs just to name a couple. They have had quite a few great songs.
I never grew up listening to nor paying any attention to country music but sometimes it’s all about timing. I found country when the time was right for me. I’m 50 now and got into country in 1993 when I was 21. I was driving a company truck and didn't bother changing the radio station from whoever drove it last. I was just in the frame of mind to get lost in a song and the right one came on (All These Years by Sawyer Brown) and it stayed in my ears, my mind, and in my heart for days afterward until I had to buy the CD. That’s how it started for me. I love how country songs paint vivid pictures and that each one is its own story. Mark Miller's vocals is one thing that really sets Sawyer Brown apart from other country artists who hit it big in the 90s. My favorite songs by Sawyer Brown are All These Years, The Walk, Some Girls Do, Cafe on the Corner, Trouble On the Line, This Time, I Don’t Believe In Goodbye, and This Night Won't Last Forever.
I have loved these guys since the early 90’s! My favorite songs are Mission Temple Fireworks Stand and All These Years. I have been blessed to see them live early in their career and just a few years ago. Thanks for doing a review of their music!
This is one of those bands that's able to mix up some good fun songs like this with the more heavy songs like "Farmer Tan" or "Cafe Down On The Corner".
It's funny how us country boys get judged. I can't walk into a place in cowboy boots, blue jeans, old shirt and not a single person acknowledges me. I put on a suit, total different. But what most of the snobs don't know is I can pretty much pay cash for anything I won't. Love the judgement of others and the shock on there face when I start flashing the cash.
Sawyer Brown was a winner of Ed McMahon's, Star Search. Star Search. 1983 to 95. Variety talent shows of Jr Vocal, vocal grp, spokesmodel, comedy and dance categories. Tracey Ross, Brad Garrett, Sam Harris, just a few to name. SB are very entertaining on the stage. Still touring.
I like watching SBs beginnings on the SS, Ed was a great host. I like that show better than what is out there now. It was completely the entertainment and the audience. No big star judges.
Thats exactly how my dad dressed in the 70s. Man I forgot how much I loved this band. If I remember correctly, the lead singer was one hell of a basketball player in college.
Just what is a definition of first class? 😁 I will take a good ol’ country boy any day.. I love listening to you two… That bourbon? It seems to be kick ass strong… 👍 no tonsils left 😫🤬
His voice has a lot more depth then this song shows. "The walk" or "all these years" show his voice off and not pop country. And I believe they were more southern rock before doing more radio country
I approve and pretty much the same. I sold my house in Cali and moved back to Amarillo, TX (after being gone 36 years). I bought property on the outer edge of town Put in a pimped out double wide. My friends make fun of me because they expected me to build along the golf course... Like some of them. With a heavy mortgage in a vain attempt to be pretentious. My place...100 percent mine and paid off. And still make my California wages designing massive apartment complexes from the comfort of my bedroom. I'm thinking I need a 1979 Camaro now. IROC-Z edition. Amazing the shit we can afford when we don't have a mortgage... And you're an (whatever I am) California style living in North Texas
We nurses used to chuckle at the attitudes of the "Caramel" princess. Your bouji area was more so back in the 90's. Good reaction fellas. So glad Keith survived.
Alright, so we need some Texas Red Dirt music on here. Bleu Edmondson "50 Dollars and a Flask of Crown"; Pat Green‐ "Carry On" or "Wave on Wave"; and Josh Abbott Band " My Texas".
Like John Anderson these guys are from a small town near Orlando called Apopka of course I was born there as well and they are mostly family cousins who got together and they have several good songs they even did a cover of the song 6 days on the road the video for that is funny
I seen them in concert in the 90s they opened for George Jones, and Charlie DANIELS band, they are a high energy band,I really enjoyed them.take another hit lol
Ok, after the Copenhagen comment... which was funny btw, you need to check out Chris LeDoux and Toby Keith doing Chris' song "Copenhagen".... to quote a lyric, "Copenhagen, makes ya feel so good....."
I live in N.E. Indiana and after high school my sister moved to Lawrence and worked in Indy. They called her "country bumkin" and alot of people looked at us so strange when we would visit. I mean heck she had a pond in the subdivision, right behind her house that had awesome fishing. And we would get the fish and fillet them on the trail gate of my truck. Most of the neighbors thats I was nuts, but there was a couple of neighbors that would come over and want to talk....lol...
LOL, I'm trying to picture people around here reacting to cleaning fish on a tailgate. It'd be pretty epic. Even better, hanging a deer from a tree in the front yard and processing it. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts I got rights by hank Williams Jr. Best country boy song ever. And it's great there. I deliver alcohol there(yes that means good bourbon)
😄😄 Would you like to react to True Gangster by Deaf To The Truth? I know they're not very famous, but I think that there is a huge potential. 🙂 The song was just released and I found them through Spotify. 😄
I'm assuming you meant "bourbons," but yes, after inhaling it, I found it to be crazy smooth for that proof level. Which could make it a little dangerous. - Keith
Six Days on the Road was originally cut by Paul Davis in 1961. Dave Dudley did it in 1963, took it to #2, and is the most famous version (neck and neck with Sawyer Brown) George did a version in 1966 but was not released as a single.
First I laughed after Keith said that he had heard Sawyer Brown, then retracted it with Jackson Browne. Not sure how he could have confused the names, being a music person. LOL He must have been off his game, because then he inhaled the bourbon.
Hey, what's wrong with white trash? We need lovin too. I'm a Virginia boy but I was a Indiana transplant for a while. I was in Bunker Hill between Kokomo and Peru. I used to work at the Tyson plant in Logansport. Ya'll Indiandianians are awesome. Wasn't expecting the tornado stuff. Eight touchet down in Kokomo my first week there while I was job hunting. The Starbucks next to the McDonalds where I ate lunch got blown over an hour after I left.
