That Scott guy’s pretty lucky! Thanks for the great work James! For all you guys looking for an engine builder, James has been great to work with. We spent quite a bit of time talking about exactly what I wanted and James didn’t miss a trick. The communication has been excellent.
I just recently purchased this exact camshaft, along with Comps new dlc hydraulic lifters for my 355, removed the Comp Magnum 292, so my engine would have a little bit more street manners and be a little bit better on gas. Can’t wait to put It together!! Hopefully everything works out fine and breaks in good!!
My buddy has the sane cam in his corvette , done back in the early 90 s …. Still nice and strong ….. perfect streetable , pulls from 2500 rpm , great throttle response
Im looking to convert a Chevy 305 TPI to a carbed setup. Engine block and heads will be left alone but I'll be using a fuel pressure regulator elsewhere. Researching led me to your video. Nice set up on that 350.
I just purchased a 268H from an engine that the block cracked over the winter. Cam shows the proper wear patterns of spinning lifters and no marks on any lobes or bearing journals. Lifters look great too. I want to use this cam in my fresh 327 (.040 over now 333). My compression is 9.25 with a steel shim head gasket. I have ported 462 heads that are fresh as well and a 70 Z-28 intake and 600 Holley carb. Hoping to get good power out of this little engine. Did you run your cam straight up or advanced? Jim in TN
Hi Scott! How do I get a hold of you? i just recently bought a 51 Merc. it's a project car chop and all. I was thinking more the small block with a 700R4. Lots to think about with this car. Leave me a note. Thanks! oh yea!! Go Texas Rangers!!
Did you dyno this engine? Curious about the numbers. I have the same bottom end with the same cam. I’m using 906 vortec heads that I had some work done on. Milled flat, 3 angle, some port work, a little bowl blending and LS beehive springs.
@@BlindSideMotorWorks Thanks. So do you think if its installed with an auto trans the torque converter will help smooth it out for a lower model? I'm hoping to keep a stock converter.
Just use good American made tappets and you will have no issues. Look for Johnson lifters, you can find them at Jones Cams. Howards make a good tappet as well.
