Congrats dude! Also, as you were wondering in the video, here's how negative frames work. In gen 2 sprites are composed of 4 colors, black, white, color 1 and color 2. To get the negative frame, the game simply inverts white and black and color 1 and color 2 :p

Congrats on a short hunt! Maybe it’s my Colo/XD bias talking but I also thought Espeon was so strong, and was a great combo with Umbreon’s tankiness. The Stadium 2 coloring is awesome!

Nicely done man! Espeon's sprite in gen 2 looks incredably good with that vibrant green as you pointed out. It's a shame the 3d models couldn't follow up. It also looks fantastic in Stadium with the mint skin and green eyes :) Wish you massive luck on the 5% Houndour next. I've been hunting for it on and off since the end of 2015 in HG at route 7, sitting currently at phase 28 in one single system. I will get back to it one day fully motivated to finish it once and for all but for now, sending you good vibes to make that hunt painless.

I totally agree with you about the Psychic animation and sound effect, it is SO nostalgic! Also, I've never actually seen shiny Espeon in Gen 2 and Stadium and wow those colors are amazing! Love your videos! You do so many unique and creative hunts! But I have to draw the line with the "Gen 2 shiny Espeon looks better than the Gen 2 shiny Umbreon". Gen 2 shiny Umbreon is peak shiny coloration

17 months later, waiting on Houndour... I'm guessing it's not going so good :(

what annoys me about HGSS is that the Eevee you get is lv5 making it rather annoying when you want to add it to your team since it needs lots of grinding. I think the shiny Espeon looks the best in Gen 2 especially in Stadium 2. Green may be my favorite color but I don't like most green shinies. I do think poison green fits Zubat, Golbat and Scizor. And Green Salamence does look better to me than regular Salamence's colors. But my favorite green shiny is Hydreigon, a Gen 5 Pokemon, and it is my second favorite Pokemon after Charizard which makes it even better. And yes, Espeon is a glass cannon. It is basically a weaker Alakazam so to speak. Congratz on the Eevee. It is always one of the best Pokemon to get a shiny since you have so many options to evolve to.

Honestly i wasnt really with you that espeon looks worse in newer generations, but after seeing it in stadium 2 it looks absolutely gorgeous. A shame they didn't keep that same colouring for newer generations.

Good luck on houndour! Looking forward to that hunt. I recently went for houndour in crystal and got super lucky with it on the first phase. Atleast there are some good phase options on route 7 at night

such an awesome hunt, i've done it in 4th gen but i would love to do it again in 2nd gen! its very interesting that in 2nd gen that the females can't be shiny, mine's actually female, so i'll keep that in mind if i go for one in 2nd gen!

Hello, wanted to shiny hunt my first shiny i got, Solrock in Ruby (my battery run). In your Random Encounters do you count also when you stop? I mean turning off the game since i get bored after 200-300 mons. Since i started i got 1000 REs but i turn off my game everytime, since the battery is dead do i get less odds to get the shiny? Should i keep my game on all the time? Thanks

Your channel and others like it, have inspired me to attempt my first ever older generation shiny hunt, and first ever full odds hunt. I started yesterday, and got my shiny rayquaza in emerald today. I wasn't counting but it was definitely less than 1000 runaways.

Admittedly. I'm not a fan of every shiny Pokémon that turns green but Espeon is one of my favorites! I think he pulls off the green really well. It reminds me of classic cartoon aliens! I recently got a shiny Espeon in Violet myself and love him a lot.
