@cardo scala rider just picked up my Q-Solo and have it installed in my helmet. First call I made was not that great of quality. I was not even on the bike, just testing. Turns out the mic has to be nearly touching my lips....that's fine, I'm sure that helps with the noise cancelling. But it's still QUIET on the other end and honestly not that clear. Are the higher end models any better in this respect? If I turn off the bluetooth and listen on the phone it's night and day difference on both ends, speaker and listener. Need to know if I should return and upgrade or if this is what is expected on a bluetooth helmet platform. Music is decent but not sure if it's connecting at a high end A2DP (I think it is) connection. Thanks for any thoughts.
Just set mine up. Sounds great and the phone even works. I doubt I'll use the phone much, really just got this thing for the "solo" cross country rides to have my tunes. Still left to wonder though what the orange piece of plastic was in the video and in the box.. apparently a sticky mount instead of a clamp mount?? Don't know why anyone would go sticky when they have an allen wrench clamp, but still it ought to be mentioned and explained.
I do not see a Q1 or Q3 available any longer but Bell produces a helmet that will work with those units which are now obsolete. Can the Solo use the same Bell adapter for the DLX helmets or do I need to purchase the Sena unit?
@@CardoSystemsGlobal The microphone does not fit in my helmet ( Airoh Storm ) as it has a protuding plastic chin pad next to the cheek pads. Would you please send me some information as to how I can fix the microphone without breaking the chin pad ???
