Finally a model steam locomotive sound effects system that actually sounds like a Shay and Heisler and not a rod engine! Bravo!!! I would love to have that in my 0n30 engines!
I just gotta say, WOW! That is the coolest model train display ever. Looks like something from a fantasy movie. Great job. Thanks for shareing and im jeliouse.
Absolutely magnificent!! I could sit here and watch it all day and still see something new in it tomorrow.. Now you have to dim the house lights and create direct light on all the special focal points in the scenery.. But it is awesome!! Thanks for sharing your dreams, creativity, and hard work.. Spectacular!!
I always thought the comments were chronological, but they are not. That’s stupid!! These are wonderful videos of a wonderful display. I am an ex-model railroader (too many kids) who enjoys seeing well detailed layouts on u-tube, but I must say, this is #1 in my book. Congradulations Krause, beautiful scenery and beautiful track work, and beautiful rolling stock. It looks portable....how often do you display it?
Wow! Simply beautiful! Amazing! The curators are artists of the highest order. I am still wondering how you manage a scaled down version of logs of timber. A very dedicated and hard work.
dinesh badopalia Look for trees that need trimming also ask around for anyone else who needs their trees trimmed And there you have it logs for your train . If you have a smaller layout of course you can use smaller branches for logs . These Bachmann Shays and Climaxes can handle pulling several car loads of logs up to 3 inches in diameter . Some people would say more .
dinesh badopalia One thing more .... Not all logs are smooth cut as you see in this video so some rough cut logs will add realism too Same for the tree stumps
where did you get the 2 cylinder shay, Its beautiful, and your heisler is another super piece. You did a fantastic job on the trees and scenery, not to mention your bridges are out of this world thx
The shay are from accucraft, when weathered from a master of weathering. The trees are old christmas trees with new branches of erika moos. Thanks for your comment, klaus
Wonderful layout. I have the same Accucraft 2 Truck Open Cab Shay also. Are you running dead rail? If so, what decoder are you using and what sounds. Are the electronics under the wood?
NG logging railroads run at very slow speeds, due to the nature of the railway, steep grades, high trestles, sharp curves and log loads that can easily un-weight and flip a skeleton car. Slow and steady, always
When I see something as well done as this I wonder why people insist on dangling chain on things that would never support it even if it wasn"t so much work to wind it around.
