Here's an idea: Talk loudly, and tell them you're partially deaf. Ask them to talk louder. Keep acting like you can't hear them, but maintain an interest in giving them what they want. Tell the to start over from the beginning with their spiel. Your goal is to get them to talk as loudly as possible (so everyone in their office is distracted and annoyed) and to keep them on the phone as long as possible. "What was that? I think i missed something. I am really interested, can you start over? ... Just speak louder ... I am having trouble hearing you ... Can you speak up? ... I am paritally deaf."

I use to get those calls all the time. Unfortunately, it was before I started recording the calls and now they just don't call. I really truly hope I get another call from them because I will surely screw with their heads. Thanks for the input.

have a dialog about HOW you're going to give them your credit card, via UPS, Fedex, Amtrak train, stage coach, etc. Ask them to pay for the shipping fees.

There are infinite ways to mess with telemarketers and scammers. Off the top of my head you could pretend to be gay and ask how to pick up guys, you could pretend to be a rug cleaning company and ask if they need any cleaning, particularly cleaning of blood (to cover up crimes), try to sell them some random products, use voiceovers and act like your favorite tv characters, pretend a relative just died and you are at a funeral and give some stupid long story about the relative just to see how long they listen, and one of the best would be a 3 way call with 2 different people selling similar products and try to get them in a war to get you as a "customer". As for me, I use a caller id app, and if they are listed as a scammer I answer "city morgue, you bag em we tag em" and if they dont hang up I try to get into as fake disgusting detail about being a mortician as possible until they do. Plus whenever they have an accent I try to imitate them which is always fun because they have no idea thats what Im doing.

I act like a confused elderly person (not too far from the truth), and SLOWLY read an incorrect credit card number, making them repeat it back to me after each number. So "ONE" (me) - "One" (them) "FIVE" (me) - "Five" (them) etc. It helps to shout into the phone, and then tell them you are hard of hearing to make them shout as well. Then when they try the card and it doesn't work, you can say "OH NO" I read you the OLD card. Give me a minute and I'll get the new one. It's in my wallet in the other room ... you get the idea.

At the beginning the scammer called his "wife" a sir.

Here's an idea for you, ask them "what's your name ... can you spell that, what's your company name ... can you spell that, where are you calling from .... can you spell that ....." things like that then say "I'm sorry I'm going to have to write this all down, where's a pen....... ok, what's your name again ... can you spell that " etc. lol

My favorite is the one's who say they see my credit card history shows that I have been paying on time every month and wanted to know if I wanted to lower the interest rate on that credit card. I then tell them that my ex most likely opened a credit card under my name using my info and I want to know more about the card she opened up. They ALWAYS hang up real quick... I haven't had a credit card in over a decade.

That one is genus. Tom Mabe is the king of prank calls when dealing with telemarketers. I don't like to copy other pranksters but I might come up with something similar.

I used to work for the celebrity Visa card holders department and the most credit line I saw was $500,000. The odd thing about celebrity's and their credits. They all have them but they never use them for some reason.

U need to post more. U r a pretty funny guy. Next time they call just rattle out numbers and then tell them you were just placed in the hospital for psychiatric reasons and u have to speak quietly since staff do not know you have your cell phone.
