i thought nothing could be better until they say "¿in the acid?... you had to be INSANE to go in th..... - BARD: "AM GOING IN" ..*get naked and jump into the acid :v*
The best part about Scanlan’s performance is that technically he CAN be a one man band. In Dnd lore, bards can tap into the “song of creation” with their music. Scanlan is literally riffing so hard he’s making additional sounds with his magic.
Sammmmeeee I knew them fingers were getting tired by that point, so when they showed the extra hand and no pick anymore I knew he was on another lvl moment. Crisp is all I can say.
I just realised that in order to get that mage hand it would be exerting even _more_ mana. Think about it, he's already used some for the giant hand, he's having to use magic bard shit to keep the hand from vanishing and to keep it levitating, and when he starts struggling he uses _even more_ mana to summon the little hand to help him play because he's tiring out from both mana spent and playing the lute for so damn long while doing it. I haven't played D&D or know fuck all about it, but given loads of other magic systems and how he was getting tired, I assume when a magic user uses too much magic it starts to take a physical toll and they tire out. If not I apologise.
Eddie: Saves friends from Demobats by playing heavy metal in the upside down 🎸 Scanlan: Saves friends from acid by playing heavy metal 🎸 Marty: Saves parents’ marriage by playing heavy metal in 1955. 🎸 Metal saves the world 🎸🤘
1:06 is no one gonna talk about how it was pretty smart for Grog to take off his clothes, because if he didn’t they would have been destroyed by the acid.
I have a feeling they gonna end with the next meeting of Ripley. IDK, I have a feeling that what has happened after the incident would be a good finale for that because it's a GREAT setup for season 3 for what happened there and how they met Larkin and stuff, you know *sweats nervously while trying to hide spoilers from others*.
@@somebody6235 look for critical role episode 39 Omens (I think this is where the dragons attacked) - or 40. Those are long DND sessions thou, it's not animated.
Scanlan making those con saves left and right to keep playing longer. TBH Vox Machina is one of my FAVORITE D&D shows ever. Its just so great, all the characters are awesome
0:51 and 1:42 are by far my favorite parts. Characters showing extreme concentration to keep the entire party alive always hypes me up, plus Scanlan being 110% serious in a time of need is always nice to see.
This might be my favorite scene from this season. The tension of a slow acid death, the switch to heavy metal, and the team working together to synchronize their goals to escape! Peak story telling and just so much damn fun!
I've actually pulled a Grog before (minus being healed), saw a key in a room, went to get it, and as it turned out, the room was holding a gelatinous cube, swam in it to get the key, and then swam out. Went in at 64 hp, came out at 12 hp. Would not recommend.
They do an amazing job of really showcasing each of the party members' strengths. Like, it would be very easy for Grog and Scanlan's characters to kind of just be jokes, but they really let the qualities they have shine without jeoprodising any of that idiotic energy.
This guy at my work (security guard) was watching this in one of the buildings that has a tv cause he was doing a 12 hour shift and basically on weekends kicks back watching anime. Saw this part and asked the name of the show, added it to my watchlist on prime video Grog is my favorite already
The moment a normal lute becomes an electric lute with a distortion pedal 🤘 Also love the fact that he cast Scanlan's Hand to help with the tapping portion at 1:43
Let's just appreciate the moment of intelligence of Grog : he removed his clothes so they don't get disolved in the acid and keeps the campagn naked. Great barbarian move here 💙
Suddenly everyone in whitestone felt the need to make a strange hand sing or wave torches in the air *After the metal solo was over* Scanlan: thank you Whitestone; good night!
I read often season one we only had a dumb Grog. I'm sorry but he displayed a serious level of courage and monstrous toughness to dive, swim and keep his breath in acid for so long.
yea, i actually wanted to include the last line at the end. but i decided against it, bc... youtube and censoring. didnt wanna get close to them. my mistake ;)
