Scarborough fair/Canticle (Simon & Garfunkel) Covered by 15 years old high school students Océane and Morgane, France. Lyrics on screen. Instrumental version link here • SCARBOROUGH FAIR Instr...
Young ladies, I am almost 63. Married 39 years. In all my time this is my favorite singing of this song. Simon and Garfunkel I hope are so proud. Blessings to all. Please create more wonder.
I am 69, as of 2021. I say this to point out that I am old enough to have heard, Simon and Garfunkel's original version on the radio and then bought the original 45 version. Ladies you did fantastic. In your own way you recreated it and more than that, you nailed it.
This rendition is historic. This video would be among the first on display if RU-vid opened an online museum of great art. It perfectly juxtaposes the two songs, one a woman's song of peace and security; the other how war ruins it all.
This is absolutely stunning. Simon and Garfunkel were my favorite when I was a lot younger. I'm so glad the young people of today are still singing songs from yesteryear. Brings tears to my eyes. What beautiful songs they made. Bravo!
Absolutely beautiful many memories attached to my past good to see youngsters reliving the past. I am 73 yrs old still enjoy the music of yester yeas Joe
I agree with Jim Green. I have loved this song all of my life. But you ladies have rendered it by far the best of any version I've heard yet! Brava!! Wonderful!!!
Exquisite performance of one of my favorite songs. Thanks for including the lyrics, especially to Canticle which get lost in the mesmerizing tone of the medley. .... Growing up in the hard rock Vietnam War era of the 60s and early 70s Simon and Garfunkel provided a powerful countermelody, quiet and under spoken but often more descriptive of the world at home, perhaps never better expressed than in this song.
So beautifully and artfully done. Magnificent. I and my loved one are transported back 700 years and are wandering through Scarborough fair breathing in the ancient air and tasting the medieval fair treats. Thank you for a wonderful escape to a simpler time.
You do justice to this majestic beauty of a song that is so timeless,Thank You,Thank you, Thank you , Your harmony is pore raising not forgetting your instrumentation, skill and sublime beauty WELL DONE LADIES! TAKE A BOW!
I had to watch your video again it's so wonderful. It's hauntingly beautiful, and the best besides your talent, is you did THE WHOLE SONG!! YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW THAT CAN. Thank you again.
Even though Simon and Garfunkel have covered this song and made it their own for many decades, you ladies have done it justice a beautiful rendition and it is very easy on the ear congratulations for keeping it in the classical sense cheers from 🇦🇺👍
I have managed to gain a (positive) reputation for being able to pick fault with anything and everything: this was a beautiful performance and arrangement of these songs. I have no doubt that I could minutely nit-pick . . . . . but this is SO good I will probably download it for my "playlists". I hope you ladies do many more songs of this caliber.
A very beautiful cover of a song that was a hit long before any of you were a twinkle in your daddies eyes. You did Simon and Garfunkel proud. Great job.
Lovely, lovely ,...just close your eyes, and think of ancient castles, lush green grass, pretty sweet smelling flowers , corn fields and lovely ladies with long braided hair....mmmm
I am in love with your voices. Memorised... And I love this song I have some very fond and distant memories to this song.... Thank you for taking me back there. New sub from UK 💖
I keep getting feelings of a castle in medieval times,.... You would fit..... You take us into time.... Lovely experience hearing, feeling, your time traveling vibe..... I didn't want to return....
This is an old English song from the 13th century ! Simon was in England and heard it from a folk singer, made it into a Vietnam War protest song! You girls are very pretty and play it very well.
