I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. I had cancer when I was 49 - after a year of treatment and not having the loving family you have, I fought, not many people knew, i tried to do it alone and ask no advice - I put the reason I wasn’t competing with my eventing horses during the last 5 months of treatment on lame horses - husband found girlfriend - You are handling this much better by sharing 🥰 - so many people DO care, not only you are helping them but yourself by expressing yourself. I am now 75, you’re doing this right, love you and admire you and thank you for everyone. You’re going to make this 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I have been abandoned by family and ex husband whenever I needed them in moment of crisis ( nothin as drastic as cancer though) It indeed cushions the life challenges a bit if someone has our back.I am 39 now and I hope against hope that I will someday find a supportive community.

I think if I had shared my feelings more with my family it would have helped them also, and things might have been different. Don’t forget, this was 25 years ago and cancer was still considered ( not quite ? maybe not done !)

Being and feeling scared is absolutely normal. Feel whatever you need to feel, moment to moment. It's ok. Life is really hard, and unfair. Cruel too. Luckily for you, you have so much love to get you through those tough times. Saying a prayer of strength for you as I watch and a great outcome. Hi beautiful Tiffany! Thinking of you! Praying for you, and so hope God answers all our prayers and gives you the best results/news possible! You truly are a beautiful soul! Just want you to remember, you do not have to ALWAYS be positive for everyone else! You are HUMAN, and it is quite OK and Normal to have bouts of anxiety, fear, be down, cry etc given all you have been through and are going through! Allow yourself to feel these things... As my Step Mum would say.. "I give myself an hour to have a pity party, cry, sob, ask WHY ME? etc etc, then get it out of my system and move on" 😂 Anyway, just try not to bottle everything inside, it isnt healthy! Being you are getting excited for Christmas and it is a distraction from the stress, how about you pick a subject pertaining to Christmas, holidays, once in a while that we can respond to, like what special treats we bake, clever decorating tips. Possibilities are endless. So those days when you are reading the comments when you cant sleep, can be pleasant and not more questions and worries from our concerns! Everyone is expecting either Good or Bad news. My guess is that it could be status quo. More waiting and watching. Tumour not gone but no immediate danger of progression? Needs monitoring as too early to pronounce her as NED.That could happen too.

Tiffany- it's been ten years for me. In the beginning, I used to think the same thing- that the rest of my life would consist of scanxiety, scans, waiting and more waiting. Now, ten years out, I find that I hardly ever think about it at all. You will get through this and on the other side of all of this anxiety you will have a beautiful life. All of this will be a distant memory for you and for your family.

Oh that lemon cake looked so good. I buy an olive oil cake that is similar. You don’t taste the olive oil, you taste the lemon, but the oil makes it moist. I’m addicted to it. Tiffany, you are so strong! It's normal that you have anxiety in a situation like this. You are selflessly making the feelings of your loved ones your priority, which is really admirable, but please consider having counseling from someone specializing in supporting cancer patients. You should have a seperate space for your feelings to be heard and where someone unrelated to you can support you ❤

Hi Tiff, you are not alone in this. I did my ct scan on Monday and since that on edge waiting for the results. It’s normal to be scared and sometimes we allow our thoughts to go to worse results. It’s never easy waiting for these scans results. Just wanted to let you know so many are going through this. Finger crossed your results and mine turns out good ❤

If I could ask the surgeon a question it would be "Why did you tell Tiffany it might depend on the scan results if the biopsy is needed only AFTER you'd scheduled one and the attempt failed. Why didn't you have the scan results in front of you before arranging the biopsy". This journey is already very tough without adding additional trauma. Looking back, it appears there's been errors, miscommunication, delays and worse than that, a misdiagnosis that caused you so much distress. The surgeons and specialists treat our bodies and perhaps overlook the psychological trauma and potential long term PTSD that can be a result of less than adequate case management. Stay strong dear Tiffany receive all the prayers and positivity for you and your family xxx

Tiffany I can so relate to how you're feeling I suddenly became ill in 2014 and I've been chronically ill since then and was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and I know exactly how you're feeling right now it's a dissociated feeling and a feeling of impending doom and it happens sometimes when we're chronically ill and the reality of things sort of catch up with us all of a sudden and it almost feels like a nightmare but I've learned to sort of not let myself go there not that I won't let myself go there but I totally understand how you feel with just sitting in that house by yourself which is how I spend most of my life now and I can just so relate to you today and I just want you to know that you're not alone and I'm sending you a big hug❤

Hi Tiffany; I am a cancer survivor for one year now. I’ve struggled all through treatments and have good days and bad days. I don’t want to be scared forever, but it is a constant worry. Tiffany, you must be realistic with results from now on, even if it's okay for now. Cancer patients have to get checked periodically to make sure that nothing is resurfacing. It's going to be that way for many years. That's just the way it is. It's that way for me. It's definitely not easy to move on with life because you're constantly wondering "what if". I can see the fear and anxiety in your eyes, which is painful for me to watch. But, unfortunately that won't take cancer away or slow it down, it will only make you feel worse, which can also affect your health further. You seem on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Maybe going to group therapy sessions to help you to cope would benefit immensely. Of course, prayers do help as well; and God would definitely want you to take care of your mental well being. But RU-vid can't be your only form of therapy. Much love!

Tiffany, as much as you want to protect your sister, Matt and your mum from what is happening, they understand the reality of your cancer. I love how you said everyone handles results differently. It is so true. When my father’s scan days approach, some of the family is very pragmatic and calm while others are extremely anxious and upset. None of those feelings are wrong… There is no right way to manage cancer. I think everyone just tries to survive it. Praying for a positive scan results for you.❤️💙

Hoping for good news for you . I went yesterday for a mamogram . I got a call from the clinic . They need to scan and ultrasound my right breast for a closer look . There must be something suspect . My next scans are scheduled for the 28th . Scanziety here . I have survived anal cancer and got an all clear just this summer . So if I have breast cancer I'll cut them off , go through chemo and radiation again . Some of us just don't get a break . I might end up being a lady with no lady parts left . 😱

Wishing all good news for you. These tests and scans are so awful. Please don't assume there is anything bad - usually there is not. If you have dense breasts or somewhat dense, or large breasts, often there is misdiagnosis, and they interpret fat mass as something worse. Second and third opinions on the ultrasounds might be a good idea, if you can pay for that or if your insurance covers it.

@PC. I ALSO HAD AN "ABNORMAL" Mammogram last year.,went in for a redo as it was "blurry." Then got a call back for an ultrasound....you can imagine how increasingly alarmed I was getting, because they MUST have found something serious right? Finally I got a notice to come for a biopsy, by now quite terrified, both of the procedure & the wait to get back the results. The good news?? ❤️❤️ I have dense breasts with a nodule in one, which proved to be cystic, not solid, and not cancerous. I now have a titanium marker implanted to mark the spot on future mammograms, as a spot that has already been biopsied. Should it change in size or solidness, another biopsy might be required, but I am now cleared to wait for 2 years for my next mammogram. ,❤️❤️❤️😊 So do not despair. All this was going on at the same time I was doing radiation for rectal cancer. After 16 months of treatments & 2 surgeries, I am all clear on that & doing great!

@PC Also just to let you know..,I managed to see the humour in even the worst situations. It helped me cope. Re: the titanium marker, I declared to the doctor...."THIS IS NEVER What I would have requested if I wanted "boob implants! 😆. And my first introduction to my surgeon, he did the obligatory digital rectal exam (which I wasn't expecting on a consult). But he had to test sphincter strength to see if I was even a candidate for surgery. My comment to him after...." I usually make a guy take me out on a nice date to dinner before I let him do that!' 😆😆 We had a good laugh. He was an amazing surgeon too. 👍 Hope my stories helped ease your stress a bit ❤️❤️

@ PC One last funny thing that struck me. I am now on the cancer mailing lists for mammograms, pap tests, Colonoscopies..they all come regularly every 2 months, if you don't follow through and book when you're due. Ironically I had a FULL HYSTERECTOMY 14 years ago, not related to cancer...but ovaries, cervix, uterus all done. So now I'm getting reminders of pap tests which crack me up cause I'm thinking "I don't have my lady bitts any more'' lol laughter can get you through. Sometimes it's either laugh or cry.❤️❤️

Dear Tiffany.....the hardest part of any struggle is the unknown ! Once you get your results whether it be good or bad will be a relief. You will be able to plan your future whatever it may be. I have done this two times and now I am battling kidney disease. Your positive attitude and strong support from family and friends will get you through this. As hard as it is on Matt and Amma they are so important with your daily frame of mind and they would not have it any other way. YES , plan for Christmas get your decorations from storage and even if you only decorate a wee bit at a time it will cheer you up. Make Christmas present lists and of course ( let us know ) we won't tell. Lol Once again I implore you to stay positive it will carry you through your journey. You ARE allowed to have ups and downs. You are human sweetheart, you are braver than you think. We are here for you and your family and we are praying for you. I'm proof that prayers work !

I'm also going through many episodes of low mood and anxiety everyday as I suffer from two chronic illnesses and also chronic grief. You are right to say let's take one day at a time. To look into the future causes too much overthinking and worry. I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends days in bed distracting myself with TV and also live in comfy pyjamas and dressing gowns. I'm so glad your sister is going to come to the Dr's with you. *I HIGHLY recommend* audio recording the visit (ask the Dr. if it's OK), because even with 3 people there, it is easy to miss something. Hi Tiffany, I know it's hard having health issues and it's scary. I have had chronic myeloid leukemia for 13 years. I have to take medicine for the rest of my life. I learned not to think about the bad and just be thankful that I'm alive. We have to take it one day at a time and know that Jesus has our life in his hands no matter what. You must stay strong. Maybe it’s because you are across the pond and our medical insurance/healthcare. don’t understand why they have not given you a definite answer. Didn’t your last biopsy showed no cancer and it was your choice to either remove the tumor or wait and watch for 6 months. They could not get a sample. The surgeon should have seen you and let you know they could not get a sample. It’s deplorable that you had to get information from the nurse and beg to see your surgeon, Be strong and demand an answer. All of this uncertainty is only adding to your stress
