That scene was SO close to make me cry - even the toughest men in the world who's watched the movie surely let a tear or two fall when they heard a heartbroken Gina's words..
True. Remembered telling to my self I was glad I was not in Tony's shoes at this moment. Yet not telling Tony about this, in top of that not fulfilling his job of security chief ( for Manny ), was probably a terrible idea.
For many years I could not watch this scene without crying. To me, this is what makes this movie stand out. Mob movies do not dwell on the tragedy of it all typically. This one did, the last 20 to 30 min it turns into a complete tearjerker!
Yeah, if Tony wasn't such a coked up dipshit by shootin' his friend Manny, with him at his side, he probably would've survived Sosa's hit squad and been able to get his revenge on Sosa.
His sister reminds him of innocence Manny is a brother to him he felt like he got betrayed Are u a communist you dont even know what a psychopath is a person who doesn't have emotions which is demonic Learn how antichrist communism is then you will know watch pastor Anderson communism you will know what scum they are godless lieing scum They couldn't care less about you The lord jesus christ is the way truth and life
yeah Antonio thought manny was just going to fuck her and bounce if manny and gina would have told Antonio about their love for each other before getting married then he might have accepted it
Giorgio Moroder, es un genio, compuso unos temas musicales del cine de aquellos años que son obras maestras, con ese toque melancólico que te hace llegar muy dentro
al Pacino performance in this is what gave him the masterpiece of being a actor this stands out the whole movie too me he did a very good unforgettable Job.
2:18 Sonny: This not right Lance 2:20 Lance: Sorry Tommy this is Vice City, this Business jeje Tommy: you sold us Lance: No, i sold you out Tommy, i sold you out
Giorgio has a way of getting in your head with his GREAT music, the soundtracks from Midnight Express and American Gigolo were good too, definitely in the top 5 BEST music composers of ALLTIME!!!
Tony tried to keep his sister away from the criminal world and it got her and Manny killed. He tried to keep kids away out of assassination and it got himself killed. Ironically, the few times Tony showed some humanity was what led him to his downfall.
+Josh Houston ...Back in the mid 80's when I dabbled in Coke, I used to imitate that scene when I was driving around New York City....GOOD MEMORIES!!!...GREAT COKE!!!
0:00-1:38 is also used in the iconic showdown with Frank at Lopez Motors. Equally visceral and dramatic. One of the greatest celluloid scenes of all time. Pure distilled 80s. Jarre, Moroder, Vangelis and Hammer, true masters all.
Ohh its Drizzy yea. If Manny was still alive, he would've saved Tony from getting killed by Gino Silva a.k.a. The Skull at the end of the movie and they would've gotten out of the mansion alive and try to set up a plot on how to get retribution against Sosa.
Fantastic Giorgio Moroder one of the greatest composers ever!!! I like that part too (0:47-1:35) ; this slight variation of the theme with slow and dragging rithm ,holding the same pitch for one minute is addictive and perfect by itself and I would like it to appear more often in the film though is perfect timing for being used when Tony is looking through the window of the car with no clue of what is coming. That passage can reflect many things for being very subjective ; for me it reflects the inevitable in life; you work hard at your best but cannot beat your fate: very recurring topic in Brian de Palma. That passage can represent the whole film.
One of the most beautiful movies ever…it took me years to really understand it; in my youth I thought it was just a cool gangster flick, perhaps a bit dated but still very entertain. Only years later did I come to realize that the movie at its core wasn’t really about cocaine, Miami, the 1980s, the Drug War, corruption, geopolitics, or any of the other surface themes it manifests. To me, at least, this film is about the beauty of family & friendship and how these things that matter so much in life are destroyed by greed, envy, and ambition. Some people say that Scarface is a drama masquerading as a gangster flick, others say it’s really a love story. I say it’s above all else a tragedy; it’s pure human folly 💔 , a masterpiece of cinema 🎥
imagine if hollywood put this level of care into making movies today. legit what happened? the 80s and 90s were one banger after another. today's entertainment industry is seriously lacking something
2:01, Tony killed Manny because of his overprotection and his evilness. Poor Manny, he won't get a child in the future. Why, Tony, why? That's the most emotional scene in that film.
What I do not understand is how Tony didn't know where his best friend lived? The only obvious explanation is they just purchased that house?? Can someone elaborate for me please?
@@piusvincentkihiyo499 what does that mansion explain Manny knew where Tony live my guess is that Manny was going to surprise Tony with Gina but he found out by the wrong circumstances
