I liked how Magneto actually has a relationship with his kids in this series and he basically kicked Quicksilver out the house while Scarlet Witch and Polaris still living at home with daddy lol
Polaris was the princess. Given the most protection and affection, and kept from knowing the darker parts of her father's work. Quicksilver was treated worse. Had to do the dirty work outside of home, not trusted with the best jobs, and kicked out and betrayed by his father, who called the MRD on him. Scarlet Witch wasn't as pampered as her sister, but she was still treated better than her brother. Serving as her father's right hand in paradise.
The Guardian of the Galaxy animated show was good and the Ironman and Fantastic Four shows. FF did good with Moleman who is mostly forgotten. I wish Gunn would do an animated Polka-Dot Man series.
@@BitOfUltraviolence Marty Isenberg's Guardians of the Galaxy aren't good after anyone watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, because ended in a absurd way, in the movie is more emotional
I like that she had a flirtation with Nightcrawler in this show. It was a nice reference to Nocturne, the daughter of Kurt and Wanda from an alternate universe in the comics.
@@kazallrobertsWanda and Viz are pretty toxic in the comics, when she has mental problems he dismisses her or react very badly and unsupportive but ANYTIME he malfunction or gets posssed by Ultron (which happens a LOT) or gets HACKED he’s the poor victim and she should understand. He even erased his own memories of their marriage because he’s utterly unable to cope with human emotions and did it in front of HER…. Anyway sorry for the rent but yeah there are better matches for Wanda indeed……… kinda defending Vision lately in the comics he’s been very good to Wanda so idk but still a long way to go if they want them back together
This show had so much potentiel that’s crazy. From the relationship between every characters- it was incredible. Wanda was good there too and she was ofc underrated in terms of powers. You can see SW using her powers due to her emotions and then it becomes really powerful « sometimes ». I hope we get to see Genosha in the MCU
I think genosha was introduced but not in this kind of way, in age of ultron, Wanda and Pietro were seen protesting at a place which was speculated as genosha.
It definitely had a lot of potential, but most of the attention was given to Logan; Kurt and Rogue probably got the least terrible deal, since they had 2-3 episodes of focus.
@@purplemace6866 I'll always be salty about that. They give us Storm x Angel out of nowhere, only to abandon it after the episode is done. It was very dissatisfying. Plus I was kinda annoyed how Mystique and Gambit were "new" characters for the X-Men. I was never sure if this show was aimed for a new audience or the fanbase.
If I recall it aired on Nick and I'd assume it wanted to replicate the success of Teen Titans and the syndication of X Men Evolution. The thing with Nick is they just don't ever really stick to things longterm that are more mature (outside Avatar) and it said financially they're investor backed out so yea it was mainly for new audiences probably but Nick doesn't like sticking to maturity long term. @@OpticalSorcerer
Kurt and Wanda was a relationship I wasn't expecting, but I was open to. Same with Angel and Storm--if only they gave that relationship more than just a random episode before tossing it.
I think this is the best version of mutant Wanda, even considering comics. She cares for mutants but not necessarily on the X-Men side, she is/was on Magneto's side, she rebels against his father, she is an older sister for Polaris, she has a strong personality, her powers work in the basics of altering probabilities but already with potential to manifest energy. A later plot of her learning actual magic and she would be at her maximum 😍
@@ramonjames1354 Superhuman agility Heightened reflexes Night vision Micro suction discs (basically wall climbing) Telepathy Body possession (can jump into people's body) She can conjure energy blasts from the Brimstone dimension that Kurt teleports to. These blasts can alter probability and affect technology whilst also being concussive force. She calls them 'hex bolts' to reference her mother She can combine her 'hex bolts' and telepathy to form a psychic shield protecting her from psychic attacks.
Both Wanda and Pietro were seriously nerfed in this show. The twins have enough power to take on the entire Avengers. Pietro alone could take down most of them before Wanda finishes off the heavy hitters. In fact, why wasn’t this ever explored in other media? The twins were main members of the Avengers in the comics, but no movie or tv show ever covered that
@@askani21not true she was like that for 20 years tops. Wanda has been introduced in ‘64 and officially started learning witchcraft in ‘74, in 1979 It’s established that Wanda possess extreme magical potential because she’s the vesssel of Chton, in 1998 chaos magic as a thing is FULLY established. Comics character evolve all the time Wanda wasn’t just a probability manipulator for 50 years, she’s been a witch for almost all of her comic life
Scarlet Witch appeared in Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes comic issues where she, Quicksilver and Magneto mistook Wasp for a mutant and attack the Avengers.
Not only did this amazing show set up Wanda as the leader of Genosha, but it also explored her relationship with Lorna... AND THEY FUCKING CANCELLED IT!!!
Please stop mixing up MCU Wanda with this version of Wanda. This one is an earlier iteration with mutant abilities that alter probabilities, not the extremely powerful Wanda with chaos magic and reality warping abilities.
Scarlet Witch might be the character who's been the most retconned in history loll. She's not one character, she's like.. twelve different, all mashed up together lol. Don't blink, or you'll miss the next reveal about her parents! Loll
Its still Wanda regardless. This is the true Wanda before they decide to retcon her and ruin her character. Her current character is extremely hard to like especially being Xmen fan. MCU made her a murderer and psycho. They need to turn her back to mutant again.
@@BiG-JuPO1O1 I agree. I sort of miss the mutant version of Wanda who could alter probabilities. It left room for surprises every time she cast her hex bolts. You'd just think, 'Oh, she can do that?' It also humanized her since she wasn't overpowered and almost unbeatable.
@@BiG-JuPO1O1Wanda has been the vessel for Chton and chaos magic user for a good few decades now, its the most widely accepted and known version of her.
I might be in the minority, but I like the restraint with Wanda’s powers. Some mutants become unnecessarily overpowered, but this isn’t the case with this version of Scarlet Witch.
I liked the relationship development of Wanda & Kurt. Not too flirty & not enemies. Wish this show wasn't cancelled. Hope to see more of them. Pietro made a bad decision there. Magneto deserved it. Polaris was the princess. Scarlett was a right to magneto now Queen of Genosia. Pietro was made to deal with dirty works & betrayed by his dad.
I feel and don't agree with me that the Scarlet Witch was wasted on Wolverine and the X-men. She only had a single episode where we saw her in action (when she is kidnapped by Mojo) When there was material to put the character to better use, despite the fact that in this version Wanda is not evil, she is very loyal to her father Magneto and in certain things she thought like him. Instead of Wanda being in Genosha all the time, it would have been great to see an episode where she was fighting against the X-men or anti-mutant organizations. Also that they give her more character development in which she realized that not all humans were bad or that by following her father's orders she unintentionally hurt innocent people, since with this she would have more reasons to turn her back on magnto.
Yeah I really felt she was the damsel in distress often. I'd imagine she wouldve gotten more/ better character development if there was a 2nd season, seeing as magneto got kicked to the curb at the end and Wanda seemed to be the new leader of Genosha.
@sayogalo421 I agree with you that if he had made a season 2 Scarlet Witch he would have had a better role as the new leader of Genosha and if the show had lasted more seasons it might have been hinted that he would end up joining the Avengers at some point. But even so, the character was wasted in season 1 (and the only one at the moment) she spent all the time in Genosha and she had almost no action scenes. Even if you look Wanda hardly interacted with the X-men 😕(with the exception of Nightcrowler, Wolverine and a little Beast at the end) She would have been great if she had interacted with Storm, Rogue, Emma Frost, Iceman, Shadowcat, Jean Grey, and with Charles Xavier... but well.😞
Broken is too soft of a word. More like turned into dust. That’s not even an Infinity War reference. She’s so fucked up that it would take years to put her back together
@joaonogueiradeoliveiramesq8947 Wanda is the Scarlet Witch, that's what I mean. Only in the MCU does Wanda have to evolve to become the Scarlet Witch. In comics and cartoon shows, that's just who she is automatically
@@yoyomayne I just wanna say, she didn't have to turn into the scarlet witch. She already was the scarlet witch. In the MCU, she absorbed Agatha to become a fully realized scarlet witch. She still was the scarlet witch without her scarlet witch attire. Even in the Lego game, avengers, she was under the name "scarlet witch", which was the Wanda during age of ultron.
I really do like this Wanda. She was very deep. But I always figured...idk based on posts I read about the comics lol that it was Pietro who was the moral compass out of the twins and the rebel who went against Magneto. But I guess he also did have daddy issues and deep down did want recognition from his father so in a way, in a universe where he was raised by his father and didn't have a good father figure before Magneto to not give that much of a shit, he'd probably try his hardest to win that approval thinking of it as love. What's more, is he probably wouldn't have the morality he had growing up with Django and Marya maybe...then again Django Maximoff was a thief but the two Romani folks did give them love and a good home and both Wanda and Pietro had experience of what a loving home would be like. A life under Magneto would've been growing up as a soldier I imagine. This show is the opposite of X-Men evolution where Magneto locks away Wanda due to not being able to control her powers and Peitro was more manageable. Though in X-Men Evolution, Magneto doesn't really seem like he care about his kids. It seems like his kids are nothing more than another of his lackeys which really makes me sad for Wanda and Pietro. You can tell for all that Peitro puts his guard up with Magneto and claim he hates him, deep down he wants affection and approval from his father, and Wanda wants to just be treated as human. At least in Wolverine and the X-Men, Magneto seems to care about his kids...well he cares about his daughters, he's very harsh with his son. Maybe it's the whole seeing your own image through your own son, or expecting the son who is supposed to take after the father, to be far better. Or maybe it's the power thing, who knows.
5:04 Wanda's got some insane cardio if she can run alongside the same speed of Nightcrawler on all 4's. ik it's the same logic as Shaggy running alongside Scooby but i like to imagine she reality warped herself to be the peak of human fitness or something on par w/ captain america lol
WOW Now That’s An Awesome Video Of The “Scarlet Witch - All Scenes | Wolverine And The X-Men” Great Job & I Believe She’s A Good Person Doing The Right Thing For The Future Of Both “Mutant & Human” Races Especially For Kurt LOL :-)
Did anyone notice the music in the first clip is the music from the scene in WandaVision when Wanda becomes the scarlet witch? Or replicated in WandaVision.
Wanda steals the show, and has a brief flirtation with Kurt. Wow!! Her powers really come to the fore in this series, thanks to her strong emotions. I kinda like her personality and standing her ground in dire situations, after retreating so much in battle, SW is reluctantly protected by Nightcrawler. A lot more could've been displayed of her other powers. But still retains her ties to her father, Magneto. 🥰♥️
Out of all his romances I honesty think Wanda and Kurt compliment each other the best. Also @LadyTelevisionScenes will you be doing a spin-off channel/series where you show all the men's scenes like All Nightcrawler, Beast and Braniac 5's scenes in this show and the Legion of Super Heroes ?
@@debutriah2854 you can do a lot with probability manipulation. Yet she's in constant danger and barely got any fight scenes where Nightcrawler doesn't have to step in and finish a job she should be more than able to finish herself. The show did give her a great personality and a nice character arc though. I like how her relationship with her family changes and evolves.
Rumor has it, if they never cancelled the show, they will do a crossover with avengers earth mightiest heroes show and do house of m arc... too bad they never manage to do that, still hoping disney will bringing this show back...
Wanda’s very early stages of her powers were really cool. A randomised probability alteration is such a cool concept for a superpower. Now she’s just a god which is less interesting
I do like this wanda in this animated series they even called her the scarlet witch but sadly she got nerfed here i was expecting her to use her telekinesis, telepathic abilities and her force field if she was the same level as the wanda in end game then she would beat her foes in this show with little difficulty but since not i feel like she doesn't quite live up to the name scarlet witch
@@goat-min1414 Then she isn't the scarlet witch, cause the scarlet witch is a reality manipulator and has a whole lot of different powers, not to mention the scarlet witch is a nexus being and that title alone makes her way more powerful than what is shown here.
This isn't MCU Scarlet Witch. In this cartoon, she doesn't have magic. She's a mutant, and her powers are probability manipulation and she can shoot hex bolts. Same in X-Men Evolution.
@@garymcguire9006 newsflash she had been the scarlet witch since the 60’s in her original appearance and probability manipulation was her power, it had been retcon alot but thatw as the original, In the MCU they made her a ‘jean grey’ as marvel thought they would never get the xmen rights. Wanda was never a telepath and her telekinesis was always more magical than power.
Holy shit nostalgia crazy RN I'm 26 and remember watcging this exact episode always been into Marvel and infinity ward and as RU-vid era got better and Marvel started coming out with all the movies I started to watch the origins and order the movies went in and secret messages in the movies especially when Disney plus started releasing the tv series that lead to the next phase and I never would've caught that scarlet witch is in the X-Men show bc I thought I only first met her her through the avenger movies. And at this current moment I'm watching the "the gifted" and I'm just now learning magneto even had kids in the first place by obviously watching the gifted and like this goth chick Polaris only could get those powers from one person my head is spinning RN with excitement lol with this 360 moment
