The slight of hand was incredible. Spoiler: I think I know how he did this. First he already set up an 8 of Spades with his signature in the deck and it's stacked in the deck. Scarlett takes her card, signs it, and when Dan puts the card back on the deck of cards and flips it and starts folding it there is a switch somewhere in that process that gives Scarlett the already set 8 of Spades, he then pulls out another blank 8 of spades and at one point he does another switch to get the 4 of hearts to fold and put in his mouth. At that point the trick is done. The smoke effect is just a capsule. Hence... Smoke and mirrors term. Anyway, its a cute trick.

The trick is pretty simple he has the card with his signature on the deck already & somehow when he tried to fold & put it in Scarlett mouth it was the same card & he tricked by putting signature on another card which is pretty straightforward

Why I realized how this works in 10 seconds😅He wrote a card with his name on it and hides it in his pocket. When he took Scarlett's card, he switched it with the card with his signature on it.

This is not a "special trick".. This is a trick you learn when you're a beginner in magic..

for anyone wondering how this trick was done, he already had a card with his own signature on it in the deck, and swapped them out very fast immediately after Scarlett gave him the card she had just signed. sleight of hand allowed him to replace her signed card with the one he has already marked (most likely the top card) making her assume she put her own signed card into her mouth when in actuality it was his own signed card in her mouth the entire time. lots of magic tricks are not magic at all, rather sleight of hand movements.

The trick is VERY simple the magic part is to do it like that WITH FREAKING SCARLETT

At 1:21 when he puts scarlett's card on top of the deck there is a card faced up (spades pre-signed by him), and then when he flips the card(s) his pre-signed card is on top and goes into Scarlett's mooth. Cameras took this one from him.

He doubled lifted to show 5 of hearts and had Scarlett sign it. The top card was a pre-signed 8 of spades which he gave to Scarlett. He used a second double lift to show another 8 of spades and signed it the exact way he did with the other. He then gave the real top card, 5 of hearts to himself. Not that hard of a trick...

For anyone wondering how it's done, Dan flips the top card face-up very discreetly before putting the signed card face-up on top of the deck. Then, he flips BOTH cards over so the second-top card is now face-down at the top, and the signed card is right under it, also face-down. So the first time, he already has a card with his signature at the top of the deck (from before the trick), then when ScarJo signs her card, he does the flip trick to get his card on top and ScarJo's card right under it. Then, he takes the top card (with his signature), folds it, and puts it in ScarJo's mouth. Then, he pretends to flip over the top card on the deck to see what it is, but the top card is ScarJo's card. So he actually flips the top two cards up very discreetly, so ScarJo's card is face-up under the second-top card, which is now face-up at the top. This one is blank, so he signs his name, flips both of them over again, ScarJo's card is now at the top of the deck face-down, which he then folds and bites on. From that point on, the trick is over. Just a bit of showmanship, and the reveal, but the cards in their mouths were always the ones that end up getting revealed. Nothing ever switches in their mouths. And the card Dan signs in front of all of us ISN'T the same one in ScarJo's mouth, but it doesn't matter cause he can reproduce his own signature.

There was already a signed card in the deck in the beginning... this is how the trick works : He gave one of his already signed to Scarlett to put in her mouth while hiding the Scarletts signed card back into the deck. then he signed a new card, in the exact same place, showed the audience then switched it with Scarletts signed card, and put it in his mouth. then he made it seem that it switched when each card was already in the others mouth. and boom. the magic trick

Simple, Dan didn't give scarlett her 5, he gave her an already signed 8 of spades by him, (there are two 8 of spades in his deck), then took the second 8 of spades and signed it just like the signature that's in scarlett's mouth, put back in his deck and folded scarlett's 5 to put in his mouth, used the pen to vape.
