Scene similarities in The Wire - S01E01 and S04E13 

The second scene is more about them reminiscing about the first scene. They both remembered and explains why they both were smiling the whole time.

McNulty feels like a proud father, creating another renegade.

I swear Daniels has a fetish for the phrase "chain of command", he must say it about a hundred times in the show

There are tons of scenes like this. I love when Brother Mouzone finds Omar and uses the term "resting" about Omar's boy when Omar had used that same word about Mouzone's guy a season or two earlier

Their relationship and how they both came to respect each other is awesome.

McNulty looked so young in that first clip! Booze is a hell of a drug

If the series ended with season 4 which it almost did, it would have been a happy-ish ending for nearly all the characters. 😆

I love how Daniels says that chain of command line when its his people who kept breaking it.

Daniels was impressed by Jimmy’s sobriety. It was like he was dealing with a different person. Daniels personal code of honor caused him to suppress trying to put a lot of pressure on McNulty to do another wire. He was always looking out for what was best for ‘his men’.

Also both Jimmy and Daniels both climaxed in the same white chick. That's a connection as well.

S4E2

I like how better the sound equipment got in short period of time.

Jesus Christ this show keeps on getting better and better.

Another small thing, in one of the first episodes of season 1, a cop says: "type quieter". In season 5, a news reporter says the same line.

I loved their relationship. RIP lance Reddick. Unsung hero of The Wire and John Wicks greatest Ally.

The Wire never stops surprising me, it just keeps. On. Giving. Nice find.

That second scene could make a grown man cry. Who'd have thought 10 episodes later Daniels would want McNulty's head on a stake

also after deangelo got his time there was a scene w poot telling the young goons verbatim what deangelo had taught them

Another hidden gem from The Wire! I never made the connection between the two scenes. Awesome! :)
