The world's top golfer, Scottie Scheffler, was detained by police Friday morning in Louisville, Kentucky, ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship after a misunderstanding with traffic flow into the Valhalla Golf Club. Jim Nugent, the founder and publisher of Global Golf Post, spoke highly of Scheffler's character on "NewsNation Live." He called the incident an "unfortunate but terrible overreaction by the local police."

No it was not "well intended " by the police officer. This is just what they do when they go on their power trips. Thats what it came down to. Its really a damn shame. Pathetic looking on the local Louisville police.

Is this why more and more people are now doing less and less for free for their Public-servants/Trustees whenever they want you to DO something for them? Them- `Answer our questions` - `Do what we tell you to do` - etc., You-`Yes, certainly (there is now an agreement to comply/obey/accommodate them) it’s just that we charge you $911 for remedy to DO that for you and because we have NO-CONFIDENCE with you administrating our Trust, payment must be with us immediately and any further communicating with us is with you accepting the deal, thank you` Please remember that THEY are NOT volunteers…..so why should YOU be? The secret to dealing with your treacherous Trustees/paid Public-servants is just two words….CONDITIONAL acceptance. Would it not be best to be the polite BUSINESS-man….NOT the victim?

I really hope someone has video of this actual situation. I have trouble believing scotty sheffler would do what the police claim, i know this area has a very poor history when it comes to law enforcement interactions, and our city really does not need this type of negative press yet again. I dont want to just rely on historical actions of anyone in a situation like this, but sheffler has a very good reputation, and law enforcement in this area has A LOT of negative interactions in recent history. I hope its just all a big misunderstanding.

@@le9335 I’m going off what’s in the police report, so I’m not making anything up. Whether or not the cop jumped on his hood or not is irrelevant. In no way do I think Scotty is anywhere near a bad guy and definitely didn’t try to injure the guy, but he was arrested for a reason.
