Great and informative video. Just a recommendation, tighten up your intros because they are too long. Your audience won't want to wait that long to get to the main point of your video. Once you finally got started, it was good information that I was definitely looking for!

Thanks for the video. So bottom line, what Fabric Stain Protection do you recommend for dining room with velvet cloth?

So sorry for such a late response. RU-vid isn't fabulous for notifications so I didn't see this message until now. Velvet is a tricky one. With these stain protection 'products', they all require spot cleaning. Because velvet has a nap to it, if you rub it too vigorously, you may 'mess up' the fibres leaving you with a spot that has those fibres permanently running in all different directions now. Typically, velvet has one direction that all the fibres follow. You can tell this by rubbing your hand up and down or left and right. You can see and feel when you are going against that direction. There are some fabric companies that carry velvets with built in stain protection...FibreGuard seems to be the most popular...where the nap isn't as prominent and doesn't have a set direction that the fibres run. They also don't have as much 'character' or texture to them. The other issue with these companies is that they only sell to the trade so you would need to purchase these velvets through a Designer. I hope that helps. 😀

Would this work to protect a felt logo on a shirt?

I think it could help protect it. But remember that once you wash the shirt, the protection will wash away and you will you will have to reapply

Just water with a TINY drop of dish soap. That's what is recommended by most of these companies.

We put water in a spray bottle with a TINY amount of dish soap and blotted the stain with a clean WHITE cloth or paper towel. Hope that helps. 😊

First I want to say Thank you for the video on Scotchguard's Water Protector . It caused me to do a little bit more research and while I agree it was good of 3M to notify folks of the change -- it seems it wasn't their idea. The US Environmental Protection Agency sort of forced their hands: Does Scotchgard still have forever chemicals? The most notorious PFAS chemicals - PFOA, the Teflon chemical, and PFOS, an ingredient in 3M's Scotchgard - were phased out in the U.S. under pressure from the Environmental Protection Agency after revelations of their hidden hazards. (They are still permitted in items imported to this country.) What are PFAS chemicals? | Environmental Working Group Again thank you very much for alerting me to the diesel smells and headaches. I have plenty of reasons to swallow Advil, don't need anymore. Keep up the good work.

I missed the test cause it took soooo loooonnngggg to get to the point. Bruh! Almost 8 minutes to get to the demonstration. Probably not gonna watch your videos for a while unless this changes. Get to the point. You probably wouldn’t read my comment if it was 8 paragraphs long with a bunch of nothing in the first 6 paragraphs. Respect your viewer’s time. Use the time markers with clear titles if you’re gonna pad your videos with talking just for talking sake. Thanx for the test, I hope it helped someone. But it did not help me cause I’m writing this comment instead of watching your video.
