On Wednesday July 20, after classes had finished and with nothing better to do, I decided to scope out Waverly Station in Edinburgh and grab a few shots of some of the trains coming and going. I didn't bring my tripod with me because I had left it in my dorm room, which was a 15 minute walk away and I really didn't feel like going back to get it.
Waverly station is mainly served by ScotRail, which is Scotland's national rail network, but Virgin Trains also has substantial services in it. It turned out to be a very busy station, with trains either arriving or departing every 5 minutes so filming stuff was no problem at all! Unfortunately freight trains bypass Edinburgh completely so I couldn't film any of those and in the end I only stayed for about an hour because there wasn't much variety in what was running.
I didn't include any train information because the trains in the UK don't have train numbers and instead go off their departure and arrival times, which in this case I didn't keep track of.
