I use this build alot actually on nemesis! Specifically on a smaller map, and with two zombie addons. (Higher fov and lower respawn) weirdly enough these all combine into being a pretty effective steamroll build. Not the best build obviously, but something about nemesis’s kit works amazingly with the scourge hook build

Look closely and you'll see she boosts out of sight for a second. That was so subtle because we lost sight for a second but I think it's enough to still see it happen

8:39 I love monstrous shrine now. I've been using it on dredge since they rolled the change out. it just feels free for a killer who can teleport to the other side of the map immediately after hook. it just adds pressure on the survivors to get a save faster and leave gens earlier

Hey Otz! I wanted to compliment your professionalism with all of your videos. You speak as if your lines had been rehearsed, then redirect to gameplay so easily. There's mounds to manage with holding a stream, always recording, speaking about the build, ontop of playing as killer constantly having to decipher cheaters from gamers. You are incredibly well adjusted to the stress, as you catch yourself, take a breath, and return. There's been immense growth in your content, and character as an individual. Hope you are staying hydrated, cool video :)

Scourge hooks are probably some of the most well designed killer perks in ages. I would say their only issue is bad map RNG like two scourge hooks on main building of Eyrie which just should not be allowed to happen. Pain res is a great perk to buff low mobility killers who struggle with map pressure. Floods of Rage is a great variant of BBQ. Gift of Pain is a decent alternative to sloppy and helps killers who aren't M1 apply it.

I feel like Otz's builds are getting more and more absurd haha love the content 😂

I can't run Scourge hooks without Agitation anymore - kind of the equivalent of running Undying with Hex perks - the time you save from the extra carrying speed adds up as well

After watching Otz for so long. I took his killer test and it said Legion was a good fit for me (Which is funny because I always felt legion seemed the most fun). I ended up buying him and trying the game out and so far won every game I’ve played with legion because I was aware of what to do from watching Otz. Not only are his videos enjoyable but they really do teach you some things.

What that ‘CAMPER’ dude in chat needs to realise is that, at high mmr, a lot of the time camping is tactical. It’s not done to BM or ruin someone’s game, it’s just the best move sometimes. And, as a survivor main, you gotta make peace with that or your blood pressure’s gonna kill you.

I ran this build on my huntress a month ago thinking it would be a funny meme build but it amazed me how much of a perfect pressure build it is. Gen slowing (gifts), gen regression (pain), hook pressure and extra hooks (monstrous) and aura mid chase (floods). It’s honestly amazing how good the build is.

6:10 - Pretty sure someone said this already, but subtle cheater detected. Viewed in .25x speed, you can see Ada speed up when Otz tosses his hatchet, just enough to dip behind the wall and avoid losing the health state. Otz must really be a cheater magnet.

You say "Do you think they don't realize I am camping?" but I legit had a conversation just the other day with someone who said they watch Otz and he never camps. So I linked some of the 50 Wins videos. The first one I picked had camping in every match but one. Sometimes you have to do it to win.

This build was so good on wesker. Considering his snowball potential wesker with a build that rewards even more downs is so strong

I honestly think this build could also work well on Demogorgon, Dredge and Sadako. Demogorgon and Dredge can both easily get out of the basement fast enough to get more Monstrous Shrine value while still being able to return at any time. Dredge always appreciates aura reading to know where to go, and the other two are helpful for slowdown. Sadako doesn't control basement, but she can get out fast and appreciates any slowdown to help her build possible pressure.

I'd like to make it clear that Otz did in fact NOT camp. He was securing the perimeter to make sure the survivors would find their friend

I've actually been playing with Monstrous Shrine, Pain Res, Gift of Pain, Agitation. Seems like a pretty solid set so far, especially on killers who can get away from the hook quick. It places great pressure on survivors to get off gens and unhook.

Survivors pressuring gens: Okay Killers pressuring hooks: Not okay

Fun build for you to try killer: the knight perks: spirit fury, hubris, enduring, jolt add ons: lightweight grieves, cold steel manacles play style: utilize your guards to break palettes for you mid chase in order to gain spirit fury. intentionally get palette stunned to get insta downs every time spirit fury is ready. jolt helps with gen pressure enough to where all you have to focus on is chases. abuse the add ons by memorizing which pallets were thrown and sending the jailer to break it, doing so gives charges to spirit fury + 10% movement speed to yourself every time you summon the jailer. 👍🏾 have fun

That Ada was such a toxic player, did nothing but tbag for no reason.

I think Bubba might do it well also since he can insta down, meaning he is more likely to not cancel Gift of Pain, and also can proxy very well, as well as getting major value from basement pain res.

I've always wanted to know how this build would work haha. Love seeing your crazy whacky builds. Keep it up! I cant wait to see what you do next

I get alot of value with Scourge Hooks on Clown. That yellow bottle can really make the difference between a greedy breakout from a survivor and a guaranteed hook.

I hate that survivors get info I do not get. I would love to have an indicator telling me one of the perks that have no clear indicator (like pools of blood/blind) to tell me it's going to town.

Very possible 'not Otzdarva'!!!! I got a build I run on legion I call the 'Wolf among Sheep'! Inspired by the Legion DLC Trailer way back when. Tinkerer, M&A, Nemesis, Furtive Chase, With: Etched Ruler, Smiley Face pin! Nem and furt and brilliant together, Tink and your power for the info gathering, eat pallets on a swing for Nemesis and Furt, then use power to vault and completely blind survivors for 60 seconds. 2 stacks of Furt and your M&A is equalised, No one will see where you are, where your coming or where others are! Put on your most stealthy legion outfit, play on The Game and have fun! :)

I was thinking Pig. She can make use of Monstrous Shrine because it’s pretty common for people to want to not rescue for a bit so they can get their hat off, and Floods is nice so you can harass survivors off boxes. The double slowdown perks are nice too because it compounds with her built in slowdown to slow the game way down. The main issue I think would be getting downs considering scourge hooks only apply once you get downs and pig isn’t very good in chase, so no chase perks could feel pretty bad. Maybe Amanda’s Letter for better chase and an extra trap add on to somewhat counter it’s downside?

I immediatly thought about Pinhead, but mostly because i just rly enjoy using it with him. Doesnt even rly matter what addons i use (obviously the fang and original pain make distant hook camping fairly ez but dont be that guy), i just have a great time and i think i just got one mad survivor because of it xD

Imo the best killer for this is Twins. Gift of Pain puts them in a tough spot, you heal and get protection from Victor, but you do gens slower, or you don't heal and your SOL if Viccy comes. Monstrous Shrine (as far as im aware) doesn't stop if Victor is nearby so you can camp the hook and still get Shrine value. And I've found you can be kinda cheeky with Floods of Rage, park Victor slightly further away than you normally would and when Floods of Rage proccs you can get pressure on the unhooker pretty easily.

The cheated at 6:10 does it again at 6:18 Literally twice in less than 10 seconds

My problem with Gift of Pain is it's one of those "hidden" perks even to you - it's hard to tell how much actual value you're getting from it, or even if the perk is working at all.

Having the skill check follow you would probably be both effective and easiest to implement as the mechanic already exists. That would ensure that while you still have chance to miss the check, it wont be an automatic fail

How does a perk that does the following sound to you: If a survivor dies on the hook, that hook is marked until someone else is hooked on it, when someone is hooked on that hook, they go into the second hook stage immediately. That way, if someone died on a hook, while there is still someone around who is on the first hook, the go straight to being dead on hook, while someone who is on their second hook, doesn’t get impacted at all.

That endgame chat is just Another pleasant reminder as to why I just can’t play this game I still enjoy your videos tho otz keep it up

I used this exact same build on Pyramid Head one time as a meme and it was pretty fun. Though too bad people still feel the need to rage quit the moment they get hooked one time..

I feel like iron grasp would’ve had much more value than monstrous shrine. You could pretty much guarantee that you hit a scourge hook with every pickup.

Surprising, a killer game where you win based on survivors mistakes, it's how killer matches works those days, i'm amazed you even did some videos trying to prove playing killer is actually fine

I feel like there’s a difference between camping and proxing you were proxing because you were going back and forth and chasing someone camping is just like standing in one place not chasing anyone and just looking at the person who is hooked

I find this build to be pretty good on Dredge. Especially with monstrous shrine, since you can teleport away right after hook and immediately start getting value.

Bruh insane tbagging on the hatch as if you've made some sort of insane play by getting lucky

To think you were losing and struggling at the start as well, ms gave death value and there was a bit of floods value that helped a lot in the end to a 3k otz gg

Speaking as a Hag player, this build works out pretty well for her, a fair bit of slowdown from holding down an area of hooks/gens with repeat Pain Res and Gift of Pain, and Monstrous helps to pull people into your Web sooner than they’d like. The only slight outlier is is Floods, but it can allow you to set up quite effectively at times in preparation for the Healthy people you see who are likely to come for the saves

Give them an experience beyond limits and show them the true face of pain

I think scourge hooks are more like assists perks than anything else, used to enhance or get better usage out of another perk. PR + DMS, lethal + floods, I had one for gift but I forgot it, and monsterous shrine is the only exception because there really aren't any die on hook faster perks. Maybe monsterous and devour hope so it forces people to rescue sooner so you get stacks faster?

I'm addicted to running Floods + Pain res with Agi and Lethal. On basically any killer!

I think they should make it so that when you use multiple scourge hook perks 4 hooks will spawn like normal but for each other scourge hook perk that you have it will spawn another scourge hook perk this will encourage killers to use multiple scourge hook perks so basically if you use 4 scourge hook perks you spawn 7 scourge hooks

We all camp unwantingly sometimes as killers it’s pressure from lost time. Otz is nice enough to stream and post videos for us. People just pick on him for camping because they see it being done on someone but yourself

Ultimate this idea for a build wouldn’t be as good, but if you wanted to guarantee getting to a scourge hook, you could run agitation and/or iron grasp

Look at the Ada BMing on hatch which is a crutch escape, and people still wonder why we call a lot of survivors petty and entitled lol

I think that the inconsistency of the scourge hook spawns could be fixed if all hooks started out as regular hooks, but you can activate the 4 scourge hooks of your choice wherever you want.

nobody: Otz literly knowing all the perks of the survivors and the exact percentage of every gen in the map 1 min into the match

Imagine if the number of Scourge hooks increases for every Scourge Hook perk you have equipped. This Scourge Hooks only builds might actually be something new, familiar, yet actually viable to play with.

I'm addicted to running Lethal Pursuer with Floods of Rage. Feels good. Better than BBQ Chili that I used to use. Chili can be easier for survivors to play around and it doesn't grant xp boosts anymore, so not worth it to track survivors. For me at least, yall do what you want, lol.

I just got this video in my notifs after having all four of my scourge hooks spawn on the corner hooks on swamp I even took a video I was so stunned

I just used this but with agitation and iron grasp the basement scourge and the pain resonance right before I watch this video. Same killer and everything

I swear by Floods of Rage + Lethal Pursuit on Huntress. So good...
