Pretty sure the name you were searching for is Maurkice Pouncey. Dude was a second team all pro his rookie year. Not sure if it parallels perfectly with Skenes, but it's a fair comparison.
I don't think this season is the one to stir up the offense too much. I'm waiting for that flood Matt. This off season has been so quiet compared to last season. Thank you Matt
I believe Ryan Shazier was the first MLB to start as a rookie for the steelers, probably the closest comp to Skenes. Don't think he was in dpoy as a rookie though.
@@zeusthedrumlord547He had several passes as a rookie that won games. I don't disagree though he did just hand the ball off and make inside route short passes Ward made the plays
@@SteelixtheSteelersfan agreed, not trying to say he wasn’t a factor, but I think it’s fair Ben wasn’t mentioned in the podcast because his role wasn’t as big as Skenes is in what he’s doing as a rookie
I will stand with my shield as the Najee’s biggest defender until the day I die. The day we let him leave is the day we makes one of the biggest mistakes in franchise history
