This is a regular pod harness for paragliding.
Exempt this one can be equipped with a small engine to make take-off in the flat lands possible.
This is not a paramotor. It has no bulky solid metal frame, no metal bars under the arms of the pilot. It does not have that upward sitting position like paramotors do.
This is a paragliding true harness.

This will make my everyday life as a paraglider pilot in the lowlands so much more fun. 🥰

Only a true bird brain would conceive of such sorcery, much less succeed in designing and engineering it! It's what so many of us have desired. I began PG while living in the mountains of western Canada almost 10 yrs ago. I am fond of cliff launches and other sketch, travelled all over seeking new launches and vistas; all the while I knew I lived in one of the best thermalling areas in my country but lacked access to 'the climb out'. I wish I could spare the cash, sadly I can't can't. Wanna come and demo in some flat land in Canada?

I really want this so i can get some evening flights after work. I know it wouldn’t be much thermal flying after 5:30-6:00pm this time of year where I live, but in summer I could get home by 5:30, be in the air by 6:00, get those end of the day thermals and land at sunset and really add lots of flight time to my currency. I struggle to get over 25 hours a year but my flights are getting longer so with my average number of flights being around 30 maybe a little more per year I’m thinking next year I’ll easily get over 50 hours in 25-30 flights. Flying a high-B I really need to get 50 hours a year, and this system could help that goal when I can’t make it to the mountains, they are only about 1.5 hours drive away, but it’s hard to get as much flying as I want working 5-6 days a week

Why do you think it would be better?

@@SCOUTaviation Next to no maintenance? Also surely it wouldn't need heaps of run time if only using as climb assist. I feel like a lot of people who are into paragliding really dislike the whole 2 stroke thing.

@@SCOUTaviation I travel in my semi-truck. I've always dreamed of stopping for a break and taking a short flight. With a small battery system, I could charge up while driving and not have to worry about storage (can't keep a gas motor inside, so where to put it?. Not having to carry gasoline and oil, nor figuring out where to get it, etc.... For me (and I am very much in a minority here) it would be a game changer.

@@Dob35 I think that the "battery" system is heavier than a 2stroke. In a small package you would get something like 15 mins of climbing. Perhaps this would be enough for your needs but not for the market. And c'mon, 5 liters of gasoline + 100ml of oil is not a deal braker, we're not living on a Mars :)

Yes we would like to build an electric version too. But may I ask why do you consider electric to be better?

@@SCOUTaviation because without problems of start e because I don't like petrol smell and I m afraid of fire in case of crash... I remember my back wet of petrol...

We are very happy with the atom. There is absolutely no need for more power for climb assist even for rather heavier pilots. We would like to have an electric version too

What do you think about the affection on the gliding performance? I assume the the gliding performance goes down by at least 5-10% when carrying the engine with that cage and net.

Unfortunately I don’t have exact measurements. My guess would be the same
