SCP 1098 RU is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Master of Puppets.
SCP-1098-RU is a small wooden two-story house in emergency condition.
The windows and the front door of the SCP1098RU are locked. All people attempting to enter the house through the windows or somehow damage the house will be affected by the objects effects, they are strongly motivated to protect SCP 1098 and everything that is inside of the building.
Inside SCP-1098 slow steps can be heard all the time.
According to the audio recorders brought into SCP1098, each time the steps are coming from different parts of the house.

Can confirm that every town has its own urban legend - I'm my town's! "The Crow Witch," a woman in all black who lives in an old house on the edge of town surrounded by enough crows to replace the entire human population of Seattle. Anyone who sets foot on my property "gets eaten by crows, and their remains are used to fertilize the garden that draws trespassers near." In reality, the trespassers just get chased away by the crows with little more than a few scratches. But kids love to exaggerate and embellish stories to make them sound scarier. I even encourage the stories because it keeps those ridiculous Ned Flanders types away! The crows know me well, though, and they can tell when I really don't want someone within spitting distance of me. And the crows are everywhere. In the trees, on the fences, the streetlights... just waiting for a sign that someone's bugging me.

Hmmm…This sounds like a coverup, it is my belief that you are actually an SCP and the crows loyalty to you is an anomalous effect , please submit yourself at the nearest foundation site for containment or we will send a Mobile Task Force to contain you forcefully, there is no point in resisting.

Theoretically, if the protection trait is effective on humans but the building is wanted destroyed, can a Apache helicopter or a missile of some type destroy it from 50+ feet away?

@@MonitoredSuspiciousUser I can't imagine why. At least the way it's described it would seem that the effect prevents "active" attacks on the building, which wouldn't happen until after the explosives were laid and the personnel safely beyond the effect range.

the city i lived in had an honest to god clock shop. they sold expensive imported clocks, grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks, all the clocks you could think of. the shop has been there for years. it lasted through the great recession. i had never ever seen people go inside, or leave with a clock. people were absolutely convinced it was either a front for the mob or that it was haunted. it didn’t help that the clock shop was directly across the street from a photo development store that was ALSO still in business despite the death of disposable cameras.

When they said the bloody Mary thing it reminded me of something my friend told me. So it's a story they were having a sleepover with friends and they did the bloody Mary thing. But as they finished their brother burst into the room after just yanking out a loose tooth, so they had blood all over their face. I can only imagine what that must have been like in the moment. You say bloody Mary three times then someone covers in blood runs into the room. It must have given the a shock before they realised who it was. Talk about perfect timing.

If there is a chance his victims are conscious and still suffering, the foundation has a responsibility to neutralize it. Fire powerful weapons from outside the perimeter of its protective effect, or program automated machines to destroy it

I’ve seen a lot of comments about possibly damaging the house from outside its protection radius. But what I’m curious about is how absolute is the protection anomaly. For instance what would happen if the protection effect was active and some form of explosive was detonated inside. Would the house contain the explosion? Would it somehow redirect the energy and expanding gasses. And if that was the case then theoretically could it contain say a nuclear detonation. Another note along these lines is that it doesn’t seem to explicitly say if the entire house can’t be damaged or just the exterior, maybe it’s assumed it applies to all of the house, but if it only applies to the exterior walls to prevent escape, what would happen if an explosion occurred inside. Would it destroy the interior while leaving the shell of the house still standing? Would it effectively neutralize the anomaly? Or worst case would it set the puppet master free.

we got one in our town, i dont know the name of it bc that provokes it but generally if you are out in the desert at night and you hear the cries of a coyote folowed by the sound of footsteps, you better be ready to have your soul tested. and if you hear knocking on the window at night, keep your curtains shut. Our town was built near where old native american tribes would travel and there has been a couple native american burial sites located in the desert. the moral of this story? Dont go out at night alone. not even on horseback, no matter how pretty the stars are, you dont go into the desert to look at them

That would give the opportunity to interesting experiments. 1.: Would it be possible to shoot at the house from more than 50m away? E.g is it possible to damage the house if you are more than 50m away but can still see it? If not: how would the effect be if you would fix a rifle to a position and then let someone pull the trigger that wears a blindfold? Determining whether or not the anomalous effect is based on sight. 2.: Would it be possible to place a small bomb at one of the windows and give a dclass three switches they have to press inside the 50m radius without knowing which one actually triggers the load? E.g would the effect be able to "tell" which one of the switches is the right one and stop the dclass from pressing it, even if the subject themselves don't know? Possible variations would be inside and outside the 50m radius, having a researcher/guard present that knows which one is the right one, or having a researcher/guard there that has been lied to as to which switch is the right one (as to more closely determine what makes the house "know" what is actually dangerous to it, because the researcher could be communicating through body language and the house might be able to pick that up via the d class)

Luckily, there are no small-town rumors where I live. But what scares me is that a couple burned to death in their car after getting hit by something assumed to be a car speeding down the road. Another thing when I was younger around Halloween time, I was outside at night and heard my name being called, the second time I was with my sister and something said our names and I heard laughing afterwards, like it wasn't human, like it was a witch. It may have been the thing that gave me nightmares too, perhaps what made me afraid for no reason. But I don't really know or remember anything, I just feel like something is missing from my memory, but I can't quite recall anything. It's like this very faint memory I have of an old couple with bugs coming out of their mouths and laughing while it was happening, and there was a man wearing all brown or black with no face, he only had a big smile and rotten teeth. Oh, and if you hear screeching on the window, DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT make it clear that you notice the noise. I saw the marks the next day on the window.

The local legend in my area is the bodies at the bottom of the river. They say if you swim in it they'll grab your ankles with their cold dead hands trying to get help. But it only makes you join them in their cold water grave

I wonder if you could exploit the max distance of it's protection by using long range weapons to blow the door open or breaking a window for people to escape. Then again there is a possibility that the protective effect is also keeping what ever the entity inside the house trapped and it might be better to not try this.

I would like a video based on SCP-7777, the soul thief to understand why does there is no official data in the foundation's databases about it and if the creature is really real. I have the impression that it's the most mysterious SCP of the SCP verse (more than SCP-1780 I would go so far as to say).
