Here is the extra tale about 2399 that goes down the path of Protocol LEGIONNAIRE failing to save the Earth: www.scp-wiki.net/the-last-man On another tangent, the 2399 file implies that the actual target is not Earth but The Broken God: www.scp-wiki.net/twistedgears-kaktus-proposal Oh and I missed a redacted at 9:17 and the audio skipped a beat at 9:53. Sorry about that.
*Report* So the red spot is disappearing I have all my planetary annihilation weapons ready As well as this new one called a ringularity generator It is a weapon that creates a pocket dimension and fires a singularity that spins and Destroys that pocket dimension with whatever inside It's still developing But it's now in the prototype stage
SCP Writer: " You know how Jupiter catches meteors that would otherwise collide with earth? " SCP Writer: * Hits Blunt * " What if it caught a spaceship? "
Due to the fact that 2399 can produce “infinite energy” if it’s components crashed into the sun it will cause a devastating explosion on impact. Likely devouring earth. However, this is only a theory since we don’t know what 2399 is made of
Ahh yes, *"WHILE"* ; the word which is forbidden to be spoken by humans. It is a very highly prioritized task by [REDACTED] only performed by the most honored [REDACTED] for the existence of the [REDACTED]
@@twoscarabsintheswarm9055 them how would you Explain that one of Jupiter’s moons crashed into it, and it hitting the red Spot would just be one hell of a coincidence.
SCP-085 = Holo-Jane from OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes SCP-826 = Susan and Mary's book device from "Johnny's Last Chapter" SCP-1750 = Cars, but with humans, and the cars are evil SCP-2207 = Star's dimensional scissors, but it's a knife SCP-3848 = The spell in MLP:FiM Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship SCP-5004-B = Our Cartoon President, but he isn't a cartoon character SCP-5011 = The wiki's fan fiction of Superman
I like to think that there are 2 alternative universes one where this thing was sent to propel us into a technological paradise. and one where because of a simple bureaucratical error by some government beyond our understanding, our planet is destroyed
One canon says that SCP-2399 was sent to defeat, and succeeded in destroying, a CotBG attempt to restore Mekhane (which failed and went berserk) but was itself damaged, forcing it to head to Jupiter to self-repair
@Eryn Chandler 2399 created the gulf of mexico killing a crazed mech god with a single laserbeam and that was when it was still damaged and before the barrier array was built
As an amateur astronomer who regularly views Jupiter, I must say how well you made the planet look! The bands, the spot, the slightly darker tan poles, and even the small white circles which are also storms were illustrated very well! Amazing job!
Why don't we throw some SCP bois there? SCP-106 "Corrode the destroyer or something" SCP-096 "Project the image of SCP-096 and maybe there is some alien in that destroyer that is bored af and sees it" SCP-173 "SCP-173 knows if there is a living boi near and will try to snap their necks so maybe SCP-173 might react to the destroyer saying that it has a living entity inside" SCP-682 "y not"
Did you know there is a scp that was able to kill scp 682 but.... it was a scp that killed everyone there but they were actually alive just there corpses were everywhere so it's a shame it didn't actually die but I will tell you what you let be repair my damage and I will destroy it ( with everyone else)
No, I tried for 7 hours to do a decent picture of Jupiter and it kept coming out crap, I just couldn't get the detail right so in the end I gave up and used a stock image of Jupiter. The big image of Jupiter with the moon Io and Europa was made by a guy on reddit. I got their permission to use it and you can find their details at the bottom of the video description. It's frustrating how I can happily draw a big mechanical destroyer in the middle of a swirling vortex of clouds and yet drawing a planet is my downfall!
SCP ILLUSTRATED but think of it this way. You can draw a massive destroyer, an angel, a factory, and a sun who melts everything. Drawing a planet is child’s play
It could use its weather/matter manipulation weaponry to blanket the planet in thick enough clouds of matter as to completely-snuff out all traces of light from SCP 001 from reaching the surface.
@@blisteringstars there has to some sort of camera on it so when it sees the picture not only will scp 96 get mad he will just jump to the alien home planet and f*ck there shit up that a super win for the scp foundation because 1 we dont have to deal with scp 96 anymore because its on another planet 2 scp 2399 cant get anymore instructions because the aliens are dead and 3 because the aliens are dead they cant sent anything els to destroy us for some reason
And dont forget before barrier was even activated for us to hear the galactic transmissions, 2399 was already on earth once and destroyed SCP001 Broken god and made the entire gulf of mexico with a Kamehameha during WW2
My theory is that we are just an after thought. Our world is merely a piece of a greater game. For all we know the ship was originally supposed to defend Earth, but after some variable changed, it was decided that destroying the planet was the best avilable option.
Yes. Is the Bismark and this monstrosity the same entity? Is the tentacle monster in the Bismark the alien that was on the ship? Perhaps it attempted to eject once it realized the ship was being sucked into Jupiter and was discovered by the Nazis.
There is a theory out there that the Bismark (more specifically the creature inside it) is an agent of yogsathoth and this monstrosity of metal is a tool sent by the broken god to destroy not only it, but anything related to the sarciks. Not sure if I believe it, but hey you never know
FINALLY! I've been really looking forward to this one! 2399 is one of my favourites because it has such a "War of the Worlds" feel to it. Plus, it's always been a really difficult SCP for me to visualise because of the very vague description. Whilst this does give individual readers a chance to interpret the file in their own way, its always nice to have something definite to picture when trying to get your head around an SCP. I love the designs used for the destroyer and its drones! Brilliant stuff! Also, I personally think that this file has redacted parts in just the right spots, sparking the readers imagination whilst still offering just enough clues to guide them in the right direction. So no offence, but for this one, I prefer it without the "Administrator Clearance" segments. Anyway, looking forward to "When Day Breaks: UnLondon"! Illustrating two of the most intriguing SCP concepts crossed over and expanded upon? And written by Dr Cimmerian? It's gonna be great!
05-2: *Hits 420-J.* Duuuude... what if we launch the giant crocodile 682 at 2399... 05-3: Dude... *the next day.* SCP-2399: Aaaaah! Good morning earth, time to destroy you! Earth: ʸᵉᵉᵗ
Fun fact: ‘The Malfunctioning Destroyer’ also appears in the ‘Contain the Bismarck’ article when ‘Contain the Bismarck’ shows videos feed of Jupiter, camera zooming in the Great Red Spot.
682 has been neutralized after being shot into SCP 2399 long story short... It found the antimatter 2399 is still operating and has not been neutralized.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
@SCP ILLUSTRATED wow dude, the more I look at your artwork, the more I'm impressed by it. They way you drew everything in this video alone was the best artwork you drew thus far, the detail in the Destroyer was absolutely stunning. Keep up the good work!
What if we launched another moon at it? What if we launched 682 at it? Want it gone? Launch a moon at it! Want it erased from existance? Launch 682 at it!
2399: Destroys earth Doctor bright: have any two's Scp 682: nope, go fish Scp 343: I thought we were playing uno? Scp 1440: uno? I thought we were playing poker Scp 999: jiggles Scp 507 after finally reappearing: wtf happened!?
You know, I love SCP-2399 for being the sort of over-the-top sci-fi nonsense I'm generally attracted to and for the details of it discovery and observation, but it's always bugged me a bit how gung-ho the Foundation was about it. Yes, obviously you're going to start up ALL the weapons factories at full production capacity when an alien spaceship the size of Delaware comes waltzing into your neighborhood uninvited with its precision antimatter fuck-you cannons hanging out, but the Foundation should've at least tried to communicate with the thing first. Lobbing missiles at the hyper-advanced aliens that have already caused a planet's worth of damage (The Great Red Spot was over 25,000 miles in diameter in Cassini's time, compared to the Earth's 8,000.) seems like something you'd want to save as a last resort, not a 'hello.'
I was a [REDACTED] on the [DATA EXPUNGED] and occasionally [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] because of [DATA EXPUNGED]. But that was that. Hope you enjoyed my story and learned something
Translation: I was a apple on the tree and occasionally shot and stab because of mr lemon telling me to. But that was that. Hope you enjoyed Lewis’s story and learned something.
Huh, it's always so interesting to see someone else's visual take on something (which is one of the things that's so fun about your channel). afaik there's no canonical visual description of SCP-2399 so what it looks like is totally up to what your imagination will naturally generate when prompted by the notion of "an implacable and invincible robotic alien doomsday ship from another galaxy biding its time deep inside a colossal storm of its own making in the murky atmosphere of a giant alien world." What my brain conjured was something sleek and primarily ovoid and a kind of very dark purple-black, floating horizontally like a "conventional" ship, and with a bunch of tiny, thin slices missing in a way reminiscent of scaffolding, with a few random longitudinal sections of hull "levitated" or "folded" out like some kind of nacelles, all of it etched with yellow-orange glowing lines and circles, while what you saw was vertical and much more biomorphic, with the feel of the face of a menacing eldritch being or a dark god's tower, brooding among the clouds while it waits for its chance to deliver the apocalypse it was designed for by its distant and ancient creators. So I just find that kind of thing incredibly fascinating, it's almost like dream analysis or something. What is it about different people that makes us take something abstract & verbal like that and turn it into something concrete & visual in the unique ways we all do? There's something very special about it as an exercise, I think-Seeing these things is almost like someone is inviting you into the guest room of their own mind or something. Anyway, great work! I've really been enjoying all of these.
Yeah. It is really interesting what our brains can pull out of sparse descriptions . I imagined something that was kind of the opposite of yours: a gunmetal grey, big, angular plate with a bunch of antennae sticking out of it and a few giant engines attached to the back.
"Uh, we have no idea how he did it but Dr. Bright appears to have somehow "fired" Jupiter's moon Io at SCP-2399. Long story short, SCP-2399 has been neutralized."
@@borkbork3804 bruh, 096 can be killed. He's not immortal, he just drink a whole oil tanker filled with milk everyday to make his bones almost indestructible.
There’s always been something about Jupiter that creeps me out, this SCP makes it even worse. I think we need to thank Jupiter and Io. If SCP 2399 wouldn’t have been caught by Jupiter and impacted with Io it would have reached Earth and destroyed us all. Jupiter has given the foundation time to stop SCP 2399 before it comes for us next.
By the way I'm not sure but I think there was another planet in our solar system and for some reason that I don't know was believed to was going to crash in earth but then guess who our hero was
