The detail I find most amusing is that this SCP has the ability to confuse any adversaries who try to fire on it. This is because in the actual historical accounts of the hunt for the Bismarck, there were three incidents where the Royal Navy fired on the wrong target, one where the HMS Hood fired on the Bismarck's companion ship Prinz Eugen when it meant to fire on Bidmarck, and two separate incidents where Swordfish torpedo bombers accidentally attempted dive bombing runs on a friendly British vessel, and a then neutral American vessel.

@@filzhut6234 From what I remember hearing about the battle, the Hood and Prince of Whales were travelling one behind the other, and the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen were doing the same. The Hood and Prince of Whales then turned starboard side in an attempt to cut off the Bismarck's advance. How could either of the British ships mistake the other for the Bismarck with that kind of layout?

6:35 I love how this actually happened a few times during the chase for the Bismarck. The Prinz Eugen, a US Coast Guard Cutter, and the HMS Sheffield were all mistaken for the Bismarck at some point by Swordfish torpedo bombers or, in the Eugens case, the HMS Hood and HMS Prince of Whales

Imagine the straight hell that would happen if the U.S.S Missouri, U.S.S Texas, U.S.S New Jersey, U.S.S Wisconsin, U.S.S Alabama, U.S.S Massachusetts, U.S.S North Carolina, and U.S.S Iowa were -collectively- known as SCP-0584 ‘The Response’. They all are in a dormant state until SCP-4217 re-enters a hostile state. When this happens, ‘The Response’ will leaves an optical illusions at their respective ports in the their own form. When this is done, they cloak and push towards SCP-4217 with the intent of suppressing it. Once done, they re-cloak and make their way home.
