(fun face, the moon landing in the scp was fake it was done in another astroid that goes around the earth which is only visible when being informed cuz the moon was too dangerous)

The foundation's purpose is to contain and study *anomalous* entites. Not to be confused with *abnormalities* . I don't know much about the DOA, in fact this video is the first I'm hearing of it, but I would assume the DOA is responsible for researching the more advanced, highly unstable or unknown, or otherwise impossible to fully contain (such as the infinite cold room perhaps), anomalies. Hence the term "abnormal".

I mean it is slightly more fun creating the context for why something is abnormal, so I think the author tried to fuel our imagination with what this things COULD do, some of the have context like otiz who in real life is an iceman, mr silent is just silence and the living nightmare is probably a man LIVING a nightmare but for unknown reasons it is apparently anomalous, some of them are unique such as the crying boy who is just a painting but it is clear YOU don't want to look at it because it is covered, some give ZERO context or reasons why are they given such a "non-related to the item" nickname, this must be a away for the author to invoke fear of the unknown to them as WE WANT THE CONTEXT but we get something else, it is like missing backstories in stories in a big story about a man who entered a building, the greatest "I WANT THE FRICKEN CONTEXT" is the 7th floor anomaly because all we know it is NOT good to be seen, the main character literally made it impossible for people to see it and implied it is for OUR safety, it is nowhere near the other potentially dangerous anomalies and it has a floor to itself so this tells us we don't want to see it.

I think THAT is what the author was planning, besides it gives them a more terrifying look and THERE IS NO CHANCE YOU THINK ANY OF THEM ARE FRIENDLY even though we don't know if they are, quite frankly I think this lack of description makes things WAY better.

@@jeromejomon9311 Well some of them are actually meant to be references to other SCPs, or are connected to other SCPs. For example, Apollyon’s Crown is actually connected to 4812, 4840, and 6666.
