SCP-507 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as the Reluctant Dimension Hopper.
SCP-507 is a male with blond hair and green eyes, sporting no other outstanding characteristics besides being somewhat overweight and speaking with a vague accent of disputable origin. During its periods of disappearance, SCP 507 is displaced into a random alternate reality; the landscape generally stays the same, but the inhabitants and climate of the parallel world often do not. SCP507 insists that it has no control over the time and duration of these shifts and this has more-or-less been confirmed by the subject being known to displace at inconvenient times such as mid-sentence, while sleeping, or even while using on-site public facilities.

What a beautifully tragic story. A pity as Agent Dalton had just gotten to understand why she was even supposed to be 507's handler. It wasn't to train him or keep him in line but to teach an agent about SCPs with hearts and souls and to treat them well. Alas just because you're a 'Safe' SCP doesn't mean you can't cause harm, it just makes it unlikely.

Safe class just means that they don't pose a threat of escape attempts, or in 507's case he doesn't willingly breach containment.

@@judecamm1512 Yep... that's one of those "perception of security" being part of the security in that one. They've also encountered duplicates of this guy, so which one "belongs" in our reality is up for grabs too, as it seems most of the similar realities (dimensions) have their own 507 too. I'm waiting for a 507 duplicate that controls his power to appear at some point, probably trolling other realities to liberate the abnormal types from "control/death/containment/oppression of the mundanes".

@@erikundluis8388 No one here is saying that the channel creates the stories (though some videos they do make up characters and such, but that's not relevant to this discussion). There are MANY other SCPs that have little light shed on them. Some articles are barebones, it's true. But this channel has shown off multiple anomalies in decent depth before in the same video. For a long time now, SCP Explained has strayed from explaining and gone the "hypothetical cross over route". Those are fun videos for the most part, but they've been so frequent that it's become a bore for some viewers.

that's the problem though... He can't control or contain it. The probability oh him stumbling back to a same dimension (apart from his own's) is miniscule... Plus on a relatively short timeframe is impossible

It's just a theory but it seems the teleportation can activate when he's in lethal danger or about to be killed. In many of his stories he disapears just as he's about to die.

Him teleporting to O Death is one of my only concerns dealing with him. Being it's not out of the realm of possibility for him to end up in a universe where O Death already one. But it is possible him teleporting back and not going through the cavern means Death cant follow him but that is some EXTREME dice rolling.

I definitely feel sorry for him. He once came back and requested his own termination. The Foundation denied it. Day 464 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.

Considering that 'can' would include a certain level of voluntariness and control and that 507 clearly would prefer this whole dimension hopping thing not happening to him, can you still say then that 507 _can_ travel between dimensions or rather that he is forced to? Here's an interesting thought what about SCP vs Lobotomy Corporation. I'm not sure if a straight up vs would work but it would be interesting at what the Foundation would do if they discovered this and managed to seize it. Considering things I wonder if they will recruit any of the employees. and also their reactions to how different the SCP Foundation does compared to Lobotomy Corporation. If any thing the way the SCP foundation treats D class is actually much better than how the corporation treats it's employees. At least the Foundation tells people what to and not do to increase your chances to live and actually have specialized groups to take down escaped anomalies. The Corp has nothing of the sort the only thing separating the guy researching the thing is usually a orange stripped line in the room. and casualties are more common than even sight 19 with Dr. Bright. Their are no specialized groups exactly every employee seems expected to actually help over power what creatures loose normally even if their the guy who's suppose to do research and not fighting. I could picture any employee who saw how the Foundation does things to find it such a relief and so relaxing compared to the company. The Foundation members would likely find their cheery nature at being around these highly dangerous stuff to be weird until they find out the conditions they use to work at. If anything that might be an interesting thing to go over.
