I'm addicted to watching this lovely old home being renovated. I'm fascinated watching the beautifull landscape of your coutry town. Notbto mention listening to yall (😊)accent. I'm watching doing catch ups every day from a hot summer in Western Australia 🇦🇺
I am so excited about the floor going in too! I know it will allow you to continue cleaning out the house and move forward. It's perfect timing while mowing and gardening are not a priority. Surprised you got $47 too! Hi Scott, it is good to see you. You should tell some stories while you work! Fantastic stuff!! I am almost as happy about the flloors as I was when the roof went on!! Doing my happy dance!!!👍👍❣️❣️👏👏
Robert always a great day when you can get more crap and scrap off the property and makeing room for all the new stuff that is going into the house, and having your dogs, Blue and Annie with you is awesome. Nothing says peaceful and happy than a man and his dogs..Awesome to see Mr. Scott once again, and know that hummm.... maybe the next coming videos some new flooring?? God bless you both, and extra hugs to Both Blue and Annie..
Getting scrap moved is always a good thing even if it only pays for gas. I'm making my way on catching up on the rebuilding videos. I'm at the video of y'all finishing up putting new wood on that corner.
Oh can't wait to see the flooring go in. Will this be a sub floor then the finished floor, like pine or oak. I know it all takes time so proud of you and your friends in helping the Byrds bring the home back.❤ Say hi to Scott. He has a beautiful home. Not a house but a home
My age might show, but your new look reminds me of Oliver Wendell Douglas from Green Acres. You need to wear you hat again, and maybe a tie. You need to draw the line at a suit though. LOL
Glad the scrap metal contributed to your funds, especially as it was a welcome amount. Tell Scott, thanks so much for letting us see him again. He is a good friend. As the old Beatles song says, we all can get by "with a Little Help from My Friends" And you have some good friends. Hope this all went well. And it make things a little easier. You will get there and it is great that you take us along with you. Thanks much.
Hey Robbert if you take those cast iron skillets and toss them into the fire it will clean all the yuck off of them then just wash them up and season them and they'll look brand new, My mom used to do that back when we were kids in alabama with her skillets,
I have an idea, if you plan on rebuilding another porch where the old one was demolished, add on to the existing porch and screen it all in. Add a porch swing, a couple of chairs and have a small table. You can enjoy a beer, lemonade, sweet tea, pie, etc. Oh, maybe a ceiling fan.
I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when I saw that those cast-iron frypans in your scrap pile. I thought oh my gosh don’t tell me he’s gonna throw those away. Please don’t rub it please don’t Robert. Back where I come from in Maine I can remember my grandmother is referring to them as spiders. Don’t ask me why but that’s what we call him spiders
Oh boy! This is exciting…. the start of new floors. So good of Scott to help you with this job. “ thanks Scott” So happy to see your saving your cast iron skillets. They can be cleaned up n be good as new just gonna take some elbow grease to get it done. ♥️😊👍👍🌟🐶🐶
Every little clean up is always a little closer to the end result. You're doing a great job on the farm. It looks so much better than it did when you first started. Without a big crew to help in doing all the work (but I know your friends and family help out when they can) you have definitely made a big headway. Good luck on the floors. Watching from Pennsylvania and it's cold outside..31degrees.. lol
If you had thrown that Cast Iron in that tractor🍳, I was coming up there and throw you in that bucket on the tractor, because it is worth more than you, if you price it out😅 Southern cast iron is worth it's weight in gold, and gold ain't cheap😉 Get Baloo some fresh water🐾🦊🐺
There's something dogs like about that nasty water, growing up I learned to put the tolilet lid down and now our little "foo-foo" (Maltichon) puppy drinks the Christmas tree water. And then they jump in your lap and lick your face...
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG Unlike Annie, Hok'ee despises to get his feet wet, and has to come in and IMMEDIATELY has to have an on Southern Primitive Baptist foot washing 😅
Really enjoy your videos redoing the house. Little by little, it is coming along. I think you bush hogged around and in front of the house. It looks good.
I would love to do something with the old wood, but it is full of Powder Post Beatles and once it gets damp it just crumbles. That is one of the reasons we kept falling threw the floors. It needs to get away from the house asap and the remaining wood needs to be sprayed with a Borax solution.
I was scared for a second before you said you were saving the cast iron. Should have known you'd keep it. And what is that nice pink/red flowered bush by the bird bath?
I don’t understand why you’re putting in a brand new beautiful floor and then dragging that old refrigerator across it. I’d get that fridge and other heavy stuff out and then put in the floor. There has to be a way to move it outside without the new floor in place.
For one because it would be a super pain to deal with that fridge without a floor. More than it will already be. And secondly, it won’t be a beautiful floor. But it will be an OSB sub-floor
I know you don’t make much at the scrap yard but every little bit helps plus it’s not going into a landfill also if you took it to the dump they charge you a dump fee so the way I see it scrapping is the only logical thing to do. 🤷🏻♂️ God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸🇮🇱 #TRUMP2024
