Well done! I wish I had this in school. Thank you for the simple explanation with excellent photos.

Thank you for the explanation of a closed kinematic chain. At uni they only explain it in open chain.

This has helped me understand why squat university says during the down phase of squat the tibia must be capable of internal rotation! Thanks
@Mfrar

Its the femur that internally rotates

@@Mfrar please read carefully. This video is discussing UP PHASE what I am discussing is DOWN. You are wrong sir

@@ccommandent oh I see now. My bad. Still a bit unclear. I would have assumed in the up phase the femur would return to normal resting position?

why did not u explain unlocking in both the phases?
@jerrysegal2903
@jerrysegal2903 22 дня назад
so does that mean that when using a leg extention machine to NOT lock out at the top so there will be no friction of the condyls rubbing, screwing together

During the open chain knee extension, is there any restrictions on the external rotation angle of the tibia before 30 degrees? I’m doing research on this and from 90-45 degrees of flexion there is slight external rotation, then 45-30 there is internal rotation and then finally 30-0 there is external rotation of the knee again.
