@@seangannon6005 I mean the whole show is ridiculous, but their insurance carrier would have gone ballistic. Janitor trips a doctor, has been tormenting the doctor for years, this is widely known, including to management, and nothing is done? Yeah, legal would have demanded he be fired, the potential law suit from JD alone would cripple them. I mean JD, Turk, Carla, and quite a few others would have been terminated as well. You cant apply real world logic to that show. Also, there arent nearly enough doctors and specialists shown. Turk went into general surgery? I guess. Thats not super common, people tend to specialize now. JD is what a hospitalist (internal medicine), sure but they dont talk about whether or not he sat for boards, if he picked up another board certification (pretty common). They have them diagnosis infectous diseases and cancer....they have specialists for all of that. I love the show...but nothing in it is realistic...at all.
@@Bigbudd0045 Alot of the routine procedures that they have them doing are done by nurses and techs. And half the time you couldn't tell if they were working in the ICU or the ED. A lot of the time it seemed like both even though ED physician is a specialty as well. Still, I love this show.
The janitor character was a dangerous bully and needed to be dealt with. I’ve known toxic people like these in the workplace and they usually do a lot of damage. And just like in the story they will target interns / juniors. Managers either don’t notice or turn a blind eye.
@@Farouk.khettabPeople could unlock stuff that wasn't their own. At least now most cars are going to the keyfobs and keyless start. So you wouldn't be able to start other cars with a key like that.
he's like House from another timeline, in which he doesn't become a doctor because he couldn't cheat his way through medschool, so he develops a resentment of other doctors.
Am I the only one who thinks Dr. Maddox sorta had the hots for JD? She fired Janitor the second he hurt him, helped him with his job a lot, and was nice to him constantly while she caused everyone else to hate her. I'm surprised Elliott didn't get jealous.
Maddox only cares about her career more than anything else. She only cared about what the janitor did to JD because it could cause the hospital to get sued if JD had gotten seriously hurt. She also had no interest in working with people that didn't have the insurance to stay in the hospital even if they were in the ICU where no treatment could likely mean they'll die. Even Kelso was willing to work around the rules to make things work if it had to come to it or at least he'd turn a blind-eye if the others tried something like that which they did earlier in the series. Overall, Maddox was just intentionally portrayed to be a horrible human being. She was literally there to show that even though Kelso can be bad, there could be FAR worse than him.
It's amazing with all the rules he violated at the hospital, he didn't get fired or arrested. He teases JD over a stupid penny. Thankful for this woman even though it was only a few episodes.
Honestly I think that since everyone has seen how crazy and resourceful this guy can be when he's just messing with someone. They're actually scared of what will happen to them if he's ever angry or vengeful. Dude made a key that can open anything and a number of other items that shows he's more than just a janitor.
now see, why didn't he just summon his vile minions, the maintenance brothers like he did when cox was starting shit? few hours in the morgue would have sorted her out.
I'd rehire him. You can get more doctors but a guy that can make a key that works on anything? He's the new head of maintenance because he could probably repair everything.
Does the chief of medicine even have the power to fire the head of maintenance? I'm assuming head of maintenance since he's telling others what to do. Wouldn't firings be handled by human resources at a hospital?
I'm nervously side eying the folks unironically saying Janitor should have been fired long ago or even that Dr. Cox is terrible... like... did y'all watch the show? Did y'all remember it was an early 00s sitcom? I worry about you guys. I really, really worry.
people say that janitor wouldve been fired earlier, you need to remember that he was close with the chief of medicine, sometimes used as a merc of chaos. kinda like deadpool helping the x men. i mean, logically they would just capture him "if they could" or just consider him too dangerous."comics is usually the case. heck deadpool kills the entire universe once."

@@mynameisgladiator1933 Aniston was hot maybe in her twenties, but like barely average girl hot. And you can see all the plastic surgeries in Courtney Cox face in Scrubs.
When they wanted to help some of the less fortunate patients e.g. insurance issues etc Kelso would occasionally turn a blind eye to it. The problem with Maddox was that she was preventing them from doing so. Such as the woman with Multiple Sclerosis who had no insurance so her dad was posing as the MS patient to get the medication for her. JD and Elliot wanted to help them but Maddox had them leave the hospital.
wtf? The Janitor is one of the best character in Scrubs and in TV. They have to bring him back asap. With the move to ABC, I would not be surprised if they get him off the show.
I don't get why everyone feels so bad for the Janitor? He was a bully who kept on torturing JD by screwing with him all these years. He also haunted JD all these years for something trivial about the penny being stuck in the door. The Janitor annoyed me sometimes. The Janitor got what he deserved for doing this to JD all these years. Don't get me wrong, I like the Janitor but he's mean sometimes. Also, when JD found out the Janitor got fired, why couldn't he jump around like Ted when he thought Kelso was dead?
What most people forget to realize is that the Janitor is meant to represent the hospital. The everyday struggles of doctors in hospitals. What does the Janitor do? he torments JD. Even an extreme minor mistake blows way out of proportion. Just like you mentioned, something as trivial as a penny stuck in the door turned into a 8-years long struggle between JD and the Janitor. We are meant to dislike him, however there are moments where he's the only real friend JD has, the one who actually makes JD become a better person. Sorry for my rant, just tired of hearing all of this irrational dislike toward the Janitor from people without realizing the purpose he fills in Scrubs. I can go on and on about the Janitor, but you get the point. :)
He's coming back, don't worry. Dr Maddox will be removed shortly and replaced by Cox. Then he'll be free to terrorize J.D. again. This firing is actually pretty clever, as it shows that Maddox just doesn't fit at Sacred Heart, since anyone who fits wouldn't fire Janitor
