Audio wasn’t noticeable or bad. It was fine. And don’t worry about not being able to hold your breath. I’m an absolute shark of a swimmer, and I can’t hold my breath.
We need a bluewater site for bluewater education so that all these adolescents get to comply with A-levels IB curriculum and whatever yet… this is pretty much the beginning of a rat race… I wish this experience would be part of their university curriculum
I love watching your videos! In 1984 at the age of 24 as a novice sailor I jumped on a 36 feet yacht in Cape Town, South Africa with a Swiss couple whom I have never met before! After 21 days we reached the beautiful British Island, St Helena in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and stayed there for 5 days. We then left for Brazil and it took us another 21 days to reach the island Fernando de Noronha. From there we sailed to the Caribbean islands. I then jumped onto a 54 feet Pearson yacht and sailed to Bermuda. From there I flew to the USA and spent a year all by myself traveling the USA and Canada. It was an amazing year with many miracles happening to me..! Watching your videos bring back so many memories for me! ❤️ My husband and I with our 1 year old boy moved to the USA 26 years ago with only two suit cases. We have been living in beautiful Naples, Florida ever since..!
So impressed with Glory! She is only one on board who is not a sailor but still fits in so well! It absolutely would not be as much fun without her. She is so game to try things. Suspect she will learn much about sailing between now and the end of the crossing. So glad she is on board.
Beautiful episode this week. Proud to be a part of the journey vicariously through Zatara⛵ Renee, you don't need to go under the rock for us to know that You Rock. The kids see it and we see it ❤️
One of the best Zatara videos ever. Combine Jadyn’s channel, Glory’s channel, Jack’s channel, and Finn’s channel, and Renee is still over 50,000 subscribers in the lead. I absolutely can’t wait to see it all from the kiddo’s channels point of view. My prayers that you have no issues with Orcas south of Spain.
You folks are raising two amazing men that the world needs! And the young ladies, you’re raising are fabulous and the world needs them as well. God bless thank you for the footage. It takes me away from 0° and feet of snow.
Thank You for sharing your lives with us. Your whole crew is so awesome. I love how anybody on your boat becomes family. This is fun and comparable to the Med Crew. Thank you again! 🩵
I follow all the channels on board and im having a real great time viewing this journey from all your different perspectives. It's like if a show filmed different versions of the same story and each of them is authentically edited by their specific storyteller. Great idea doing this for your channels, its awesome, keep up the great work guys 👍
Kate, really seems to be coming alive since the friends have been on board. It’s good to see her enjoying her young life and energy. She’s a lovely young lady and will turn some heads as she gets older!
Amazing editing. Amazing film. You guys make i so i can see the world in my miserable live that i am living in the United Sates Of America. The Country that my grandfather fought all the way through the war to make sure we would enjoy life like this and have a future. I am gracious to have you guys in my life because it gives me the time to be able to see the world while being in my own bubble in Florida only getting older and got a late start in life. sometimes in life you often take the moment for granted but your videos have truly stepped the game up. Good job Glory And mom. When Jack said how much he loved his mother and how much cares about her brought a tear to my eye because i miss my mom whom i lost when i was 15 years old. Anyway. I love you guys thank you for all the hard work and dedication to all of you. I often think of you guys throughout the way and wonder what you guys are doing.
I'm so glad u guys invited Jadyn to join u. she's such a very cool happy free spirit. what a wonderful job her parents raising her to be such a beautiful soul, as u have also done with your kids. I've said this before in the past, that it's so inspiring & refreshing to see healthy adults raising delightful, respectful, fun loving kids that grow up to be so independent & a joy to be with it. i think most people don't realise how bad most young children have it. i was one of those kids raised by an abusive alcoholic father back in the 60's & 70's, and it fills my heart with so much joy & happiness to follow all your channels. thank u so much for putting a smile on an older guys face who unfortunately doesn't have sailing legs lol. i can't even go on a short ferry ride without feeling very sick, BUT i get to enjoy watching your videos every wk & this wk has been amazing. I've had the pleasure of watching everyone's channel from a different angle & it's been so enjoyable. THANK YOU so much & best wishes for a safe Atlantic Crossing. Jadyn I'm so super impressed with your attitude. sleeping in that tiny cramped up space would drive me insane, BUT you're so cool & positive about everything. I'm sure not every moment is perfect, BUT u make the most of what moments are perfect & don't dwell much on the negatives & that's such a great attitude. God Bless u all, hugs xoxo
I follow you since chapter one, even I had the luck to see Zatara personally in Maldivas at Hard Rock Marina during my stay over there.. very emotional.. but now I see the video and realice that you have been anchored infront of my house in Talamanca its awsome!! Pitty I was in Brazil that day Thanks for the show!! Love it!!
Recently discovered your channel and I love it! I was born and raised in a big city and currently live the suburban, corporate life just outside that same city with my own family now. Your videos are a welcome change especially during this cold, grey, rainy season. Rene you have a beautiful family & you do an amazing job capturing & chronicling the moments. Your videos feel sincere and genuine. Jack's expression of love for you was so heartwarming. Thank you for sharing :) Looking forward to watching more of your adventures. God bless your beautiful family, Glory, Jaydn & keep you all safe in your travels!
I thought it was a great video. The cliff jumping was awesome. Ibiza is such a beautiful place. Now I have to go over to Jack's channel to see the rest of his dive. Have a great week.
As much as I feel you guys have done a great job raising your children, Im afraid the U.S. has changed SO much since you guys started sailing. The wolrd also though too. Im actually afraid for your children, and my own. Sail with them for as long as you can, its not easy for the young adult in the states right now. I enjoy seeing your kids happy. As i know that warms the heart of any parent. Best regards and safe sailing from Inverness, FL.
@srenfro93 This has been going on since recorded history... That's why I don't understand the "conservative" movement. If there is one thing that is guaranteed, it's that EVERYTHING will change. We need to be kind and compassionate to those who aren't like us and strive to make the different world our children will grow up in better than it was for us.
@@srenfro93 I'm not trying to be condescending, so my apologies if it came across that way. I'm just pointing out that every generation has said things are going to hell. Things are different for every generation, and they always will be from here until the end of time. To clarify the conservative comment... I think being conservative is a futile outlook to have. EVERYTHING will change, so why dig your heels in and try to keep things the same? It's a lost battle from the jump. Efforts would be MUCH better spent trying to make things better and easier for generations coming after us, not trying to force them to live and see the world the way we see it. It's a different world for them and they see it as such.
Rene, I'm right there with you....I wouldn't been able to swim underwater that far either. However, I absolutely love watching y'all videos. It's sleeting ice pebbles this afternoon here in South Central Kansas. Cows are fed, chores are done till tonight. Blessings to you and your family.
Stupid comment and may just expose why you watch. Many of us viewers have been watching for years, well before other girls or boys came on board. Great viewing my whole family watches. Thinking you have issues.
You know your limits and that will keep you out of serious trouble. It's great to push yourself to experience new things. But not when death is a high probability. You made it to your age by listening to your instincts.
I pulled up the stopwatch on my phone...The boys had an average of about 1.85 seconds air time on the big jump. I used a free fall calculator and it said they jumped about 55 feet and hit the water at around 40mph...so there's that😁
You have to subtract the time from them jumping upwards. So start counting from when they are at the highest point of the jump. And does that calculator incorporate air resistance? That will also make a (small) difference.
Ya....ummmm...no..that sounds way more scientific than my generalized approximations. I don't think anyone really cares..I just realized it was quite a high jump..so I rewound and timed it. I'm sure my times are off by a half second or so if you factor in my middle aged reaction times pressing the start stop button. Stop being so pedantic.
@@darvey35 Just wanted to raise the issue that the half second of him jumping upwards before he start falling, is already a +-20-25ft difference in the result height calculated. Didn't mean to be pedantic or nitpicky, but we're not talking about a small negligible difference in the end result. But now that I'm pedantic already, I might just as well own it and add that, neglecting air drag, at 1.85s, it is indeed 17m (or 55ft). And with the 0.5s subtracted, making a 1.35s of falling time, it's 9m (or 30ft). Still high!
I am anxiously awaiting for when y'all bring Maddy back aboard! She seemed to be a happy young lady, with an infectious smile...AND she and finn seemed to have a "thing" going on...Did my eyes deceive me?😁
Jack such a nice young man . Ma ma , I could not do it either! I am cluster phobic too . The boys dad and girls can do it! Kate LMAO ! Your definitely a mermaid. Love it. Love it. Love it. Kombucha wonderful wonderful stuff
Love seeing your videos! Been watching for a long time and was wondering when were going to get an update on Anna? Haven’t seen or heard about her in a video in forever!
So I am guessing that they don't want you to leave the boat and go shopping is that the boat will be taking up a fueling spot, and if other boats did this, there would be no room for future boats to fuel. Maybe other boaters have abused this system in the past and they had left their boats there for hours while the owners did some sightseeing (without paying for a slip). Just a guess mind you. 😁
Blehhhh…when bureaucracy stops people from spending money in a country it just never makes “cents”. We’ve dealt with this plenty and unfortunately leaves a bad taste in your mouth about the country and your experience there. Great vid Renee! Such a fun dynamic going on with the z-crew. And we aren’t even biased AT ALL. 😘
@@timetravel6 awww thanks for asking that. We’re all good and happy especially hearing she’s fitting in well and having a grand ole time. It’s easy to not be worried about it much when she’s off with a great fam like the Whitaker clan.
I think we’re all watching how this eclectic group survives the crossing. Five attractive and dynamic young people in close quarters for over a month is full of land mines. Jealousies, hurt feelings, misunderstandings. However if any two people can effectively navigate through this, and manage that group, it’s Renee and Keith. Have fun! Can’t wait to enjoy this with you!
Renee, I don't blame you for being scared at all. I used to be a bit of a daredevil in my younger years cliff jumping, cliff diving and so on and now in my mid-40s? I don't want to do any of it. Too afraid of getting hurt. We don't heal the way we used to when we were young.
