Cod Fishing From The Beach & Sea Fishing Update
It's been a little while since our last beach fishing video so we put that right in this episode, with a short catch up and then some Cod fishing filmed a couple of weeks back, when me and good friend Justin Grapes headed into deepest darkest Suffolk to see if we could put a few Codling on camera.
Reports had been good and conditions were spot on so we headed to the mark full of confidence.
To find out exactly how we got on and to perhaps find out a few tips along the way, watch this latest installment, from the waters edge.

I just wanna say thank you for this series, it's always nice to see how other people fish and pick up tips and stuff. Found the 6 episodes to be very helpful and will definitely be using more bait with each cast because I currently use 1 worm on a 5/0 pulley rig and don't have any luck so I won't be so shy anymore and hopefully I'll get a bit more luck. Thanks again and happy fishing :)

Thanks Chris always good to have a local perspective. Most codling seem to be coming out of the river near here (Yarmouth area) but looks pretty poor, we had no spring run at all this year.

The cod have just started coming in down here on Chesil and a few (but good ones) on the boats out of Weymouth, still loads of Black Bream about though ..... Thanks for the video and tight lines guys

hi Chris , on the thornies side of things shingle st suffolk is still producing them and some coming out of felixstowe manor end. ...hopefully I will make that journey in to deepest Norfolk for a hound next spring / summer ......Jules

hi, yes I went last week to barry island and it was good no mutch caching but we enjoyed the day there ( a small bass and dogy, and a 4lb ray release after catch catch on a pulley rig with a 3.0 hook gears are anyfish AFAW Mk2 big brach and AFAW 6& Bait mk2 reel daiwa 7ht mag st and daiwa mad blue, my target Was cod but fingers crossed for next trip hopefully.

My secret winter cod spot. In s.west...ie. Cornwall is whitsands beach by the gun range..apart from the cod, there,s a chance of a double figer Pollack, or bass, and perhaps a double coalie.and the usual whiting, and a fair chance of a Huss,

They've certainly increased in numbers around our coastline Kerry. When I was a young lad we never ever caught them, but there seems to be a good number around now.

Hi +daneord1 it was the Penn Surfblaster I believe. Cracking reel for general beach fishing, anything by Penn is normally pretty good. :-)

Pity you can't show the bites as this is the most exciting part of it! I have a HD camcorder which has Pre- record. It films in a loop and films the FIVE seconds before you press the button to record. As long as you are ready you will record the bite. Very useful when you cannot predict a spontaneous event.

I know what you mean about all the time put in for little reward, about a month and a half ago I upgraded from my budget rods to my first decent one ( century tip tornado super match) I've fished twice every weekend since then and only managed whiting a dogfish, although I go home disappointed by the time the next weekend comes up i'm ready to give it another shot and full of excitement. Great video, Hope to see more in the future :) keep up the good work

Luv the vids,,,, can tell you are both very keen anglers and luv not just the catching ,but the getting out and avin a go ,,,get yourselves up to the northwest and a free boat trip out with bait supplied etc ,,,,,oh and weather permitting !!😀

+Levon de Carlo its a Penn Surfblaster 8000 one of the best fixed spool reels!

hi guys. I am Dan from Watchet west somerset.thanks for vid but ive a short story no more than a week old as tuesday last i on the boat Sea Fire caught the biggest cod at 33 lb. the rod was locked eyes to the sky so im looking up the rod like a gun. it bobbed with the waves then stayed bent to the sea. the fish tired twice and had to have three guys lift it on a pole net. cack handed but ill so need an able crew. it was then released as there breeders past 15 lb. and subject to issues of age and worm which loses out on taste. it does mean 40 to 50 year of cod schools have been led round the bend by two of the biggest as 27 lb of cod is fr ont page big news for west somerset and my own catch on the front page of the Sea Angling Times.

Great vid lads. really enjoy your beach fishing episodes. November is definatly a great time to be fishing along the south coast just a shame it can be so weedy around here (littehampton) but I am off to dungie in a couple of weeks. thanks for making these vids
