Hi Bill,Ron from Indiana.I hope your health keeps improving.I had some problems with my asthma myself.38 years in a steel mill didn't help.I really enjoy your videos,It looks like you were killing them.It looks alittle like Lake Michigan. It's not the sea side but at 57,800 square kilometers or over 14 million acres it's a big body of water. And I am lucky I live 10 minutes away.We fish for trout, salmon, small mouth bass, fresh water drum, yellow perch, catfish.well keep the videos coming.I find entertaining a full of great fishing information.Thanks.GOOD FISHING.

ronald ayres Hi thanks for your kind comment. I remember looking at the Great Lakes from an aeroplane window and being in awe of the size! Can’t imagine float fishing that in a wind! Tight Lines

Hi Bill, really enjoyed this video. I have recently moved from my home in Surrey to Newquay and have been fishing fly cellars a lot over the winter. Haha it did make me smile when you mentioned the seal, as I know how much of a pain they are. Have had a lot of problems with them in the harbour whilst fishing for the mullet. I have also done a video in Newquay-fishing for mullet, very close to here. Only just discovered your channel mate, so going to have a catch up on some of your other videos tonight, can see you do a lot of coarse fishing, same as me.

Laurence Hanger. Hi glad you like the video’s. Mostly aimed at beginners and improvers. My health has prevented me from beach fishing this year but I have loads planned for the future. Casting, rigs, tackle etc some on beaches some on the piers and harbours. By the way, the previous year I hooked and played a large seal for about 5 mins great fight. It took a hooked fish on the way in!! Tight Lines

Andy Pearce Hi glad you enjoyed this short fun video. Regrettably I don’t know if I will get down to Cornwall this summer, but thanks for the thought and watch out for that seal he has been there for several years! Tight Lines

Mark Roberts . Hi Mark you can in the right place and time catch a lot of sea fish on the float. Try using an Avon type rod or a light carp rod with a f/s reel about 6lb line and a small hook size between 6 and 10. Small baits tiny bits of squid, mackerel or bits of ragworm. Don't buy huge sea floats! Use plenty of groundbait, mashed bread with minced fish or similar and in the warmer months you can catch plenty from piers, promenades jetties and similar. Don't forget a landing net with a long handle or a drop net. Good luck you could get a big fish

Brilliant Bill some lovely fish there i really like those Black Seabream and that little Pollock was nice. I really fancy some sea fishing in the UK now after watching this. I often do sea fishing excursions abroad, i'm actually going to Gran Canaria next week and we'll do one there. I did one in Turkey back in September where i caught a little cute fish cant remember its name had a similar shaped body to the Black Seabream but i think was mainly white in colour with a bit of yellow. Caught a nice Tuna in Tenerife few years ago trolling on a boat, was about a good 5lb or so.

cns180784 Hi glad you enjoyed the video. I used to sea fish a lot both from boat and beach but don’t do much now because of health problems. However I will be doing some from the beach and pier in the future. Tight Lines

I've watched loads of your vids last few nights bill. Great vids. One thing id suggest. Go with the fuzzy mic we've seen in other vids. Better audio and blocks out BG noise

Many years ago I used to fish from a small boat in the mouth of the river Fal at Falmouth and catch fish on red wool or feathers on the bottom but also used a river rod for mackeral and garfish near the surface for maxium fun. Happy fishing.

Chris Pigott Hi I think that everyone should try fishing for miniature game fish, which is what Mackerel and Garfish are, with really light tackle. Now I don’t mean a size 20 on 1 lb bs line , but 5 lb line and a very light float or spinning rod. A mackerel of 2 lbs gives a fantastic fight, just like a miniature tuna, garfish can cartwheel and jump like a miniature bill fish and black bream mullet etc give a fantastic sport on light tackle. When I was younger Tope were a fairly regular hookup if not landing and until you have a big multiplier stuffed with 18 lb line emptying at an unstoppable rate you haven’t lived! I once watched a tope empty my dads penn Squidder on it’s first run from Cromer pier. Tight light Lines
