Hey, i have a gtx 260 limited 2015. when I turn it on, IBR sign pops in dashboard I accelerate and it goes 5/6 mph not more than that and it doesn’t reverse. What you think it is?
My battery is at 12.8 volts when sitting but as soon as I hit the start button it drops to below 8. Does this mean the battery is bad? I replaced solenoid already with the OEM updated part. Also, when I jump the solenoid I don’t get a crank but I’m assuming since the battery isn’t holding above 12v it wouldn’t turn the engine anyways?
My gti only cranks manually and i replaced the solenoid. When i press the start button i can only here the fuel pump but no crank unless i try to crank it by hand on the solenoid. Any advice ?
put in new battery dash lights up as usual but when hit start button nothing . no crank, clicking nothing . any idea what this could be ? maybe solenoid ?
Thanks for the help! I have an 07 sea doo challenger s230. 1 engine starts up fine and the 2nd cranks but wont turn over. Ill try a starter solenoid replacement on that motor . Hopefully it works! 🙏🫡✌️
Interesting. Even with a new battery, mine has issues starting after riding for a while and turning the engine off. after about 20 minutes - hard to start. It just cranks slowly or has difficulty turning. 2004 GTX 4tec (NA)
starters are underneath if it ever leaked it can cause excessive wear to the starter... if battery is new and id prob investigate the state of the starters condition
bad starters can mean burnt coil, burnt coil can draw power parasitically and kill a new battery. Any vessel or vehicle that relies solely upon that battery will suffer performance issues. also clean you terminals and posts and put dielectric or whatever you fancy on after, there should be nothing in-between your connections.
So, just verified my starter solenoid was good. Cross it and no crank, put my meter on the battery when hitting the start button it’s at 12.78 and I have 12.78 on the output side of the solenoid. How can I check the starter without removing my exhaust? Also, check all my connection. Boat has barely any hrs on it and fresh water only.
@@BurninGas8.1 never mind sir. It was the starter and it’s out. Had to move the motor up and lift it to remove the starter. Not to bad of a job. I’m a marine tech but don’t work on skies much
I tested the solenoid and it seems it works. After I connect the battery and try to start it just clicking a few times. Battery has 12.9 V. I plugged my booster on the battery and the engine starts. What can it be ? Battery is just 1 year old but the starter didn’t get enough power to start the engine without the booster.
What if she cranks but doesn’t fire bud I have a jet boat and that’s what mine is doing new batteries all the fuses and relays are in good working order any ideas thanks
How did your repair your solenoid ?? I've got one doing the exact same thing, starts after trying it about 15 time, haven't dug into it yet but I'm guessing it's the solenoid ? Thanks @@BurninGas8.1
