Sealing the Tacoma Truck Bed 

Awesome video. I didn't think I would stumble upon exactly what I needed this quick. I have a 22 TRD and noticed my brand new cover is not keeping my bed dry and that the cover is not the issue. It was coming in from under the bed rail. Thank you.

I think I would try using a tractor inner-tube cut to length used under the plastic bed caps and over bed caps for water seal, held in place with silicone….you could clamp front and rear ends to hold rubber tubing in place for the silicone….rollered down smooth to surface before it sets up….then use a a good, full length, wide, rubber seal running from one rear end corner, completely around to opposite corner, un-cut…. And glued to topper bottom rails….

I'm getting an UnderCover Pop up cover for my 2018... I just watched your video on water sealing the Tacoma Bed.... I wanted to know how I go about removing the plastic covers that fit along the top of the walls of the truck bed... Want to cover all the holes you suggested... I'm Planning to use foil tape and black Silicone to seal as much as possible.. Thanks

can you show how to remove the plastic bed rail?

Any chance you will be selling those plates you used to delete the cubby? Maybe a package deal with a switch panel?

What about using closed cell spray foam from underneath for a lot of those locations. I know it would make it water tight. But do you see any downfall using that technique.

You say "we recommend," but don't really go into enough of the 'why' one would need to reinforce the top rails. Are these really so weak they can't handle a fiberglass topper? What kinds of things are we seeing damage these rails, what's the weight range where damage becomes likely, and what does the damage look like and how does it manifest? Anything more than "we recommend" would be super helpful. Enjoyed the video, and thanks for the knowledge share!

If you use tape over the holes, how do you get the plastic bed rail back in since it snaps into place into those holes?

Why aluminum tape and not a water proof tape like Flex Tape?
