Previously on our Australia adventure, Regena and I began our tip by meeting up with our good friends Marco and his family, Justin from Patriot Campers and his son Christian and his girlfriend Sara. We drove four well-built overland vehicles to beautiful K’Gari Island where we were welcomed by Traditional Owners with a smoking ceremony and learned about the three laws of the land. We spotted several of the island’s infamous Dingos, being careful to keep our distance from these predators. We got familiar with the vehicles we’ll be driving on the beach…vehicles with steering wheels on the right side. And we explored the features of the brand new, next generation Patriot Campers trailers that we’ll call home for the next several days. We setup camp, ate some great food and enjoyed some good laughs together. We are excited to spend the next few days exploring K’gari, the largest sand island in the world which is renowned for being one of the most beautiful places in Western Australia. Today, we will be heading north and deep into the heart of the island’s rainforest to see if we can find some of the magical places we’ve heard so much about.
