►In this video I wanted to make a beach tumbler but I wanted to take it to the next level and use REAL SAND! This was a super cool experiment and learning process, and since then I've made 5 of these things and people love them! You should see their face when I tell them that it's real sand! Thanks for watching - I know this is a long video and I may make a shorter version in the future.

OMG! 😂😂 I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much watching a tumbler video. Creators are usually so serious and all about perfection. Thank you for showing a lighter side of tumbler making. Your work is beautiful.

I used real sand too! I made a waterslide decal of a heart drawn in the sand, with a name in it that looked like it was drawn in the sand and it looked amazing! Try it next time, adds just the right touch!

That tumbler is gorgeous...not gonna lie though...when I saw it at the beginning... I thought it was the beach, waves, and the sky...but now that you mentioned it...I can see it either way...sorta like those pictures that ask...what do you see a dog or a person.🤣

When u first put your sand down, u could have used a clean brush and stroked back towards the sand to get the pieces of sand that went out of the lines. Still looks amazing, I’m “just one of those” lol Absolute favorite channel! Your personality is amazing! Educational and entertaining!

Love this - I do beach tumblers a lot but have never used sand. I also do large ocean resin paintings & there I use sand! Never thought of doing it on a cup. Great video! Try using a salt shaker lid 😊

OMG you have made my day :-) Needing to make tumblers for my husbands and my upcoming cruise and this is prefect for us. We collect sand from each island we visit to make Christmas ornaments and our sand jar. We have left over sand that I had no idea what I was going to do with but I do now. Thank you so so much :-)

I love this!!! Casting’ craft works really good for waves as well! I use a few drops of it and a drop or three 😂 of white alcohol ink.

Your cups are all very cool and I love watching your videos as they are very informative. For this cup, when you sand the epoxy, are you also sanding down the sand before putting the next coat of epoxy on?

Holy smokes these are great! There’s some pretty fine sand at Dollar Tree where I live. Maybe they have it where you are too, would save you the sifting. Really awesome cups. I usually go down to my art room and start spray painting a tumbler or a mason jar or anything I can get my hands on when I watch your videos.

You can also paint epoxy on the bottom in a wave form to prep for the sand.

Love love love this! I’m a newbie in the epoxy tumbler world, so what is your secret for getting your epoxy sooooo clear and bubble free?!?! I feel like I’ve tried all the tricks and it’s still shows bubbles. And doesn’t always cure even! Some of my cups end up with random lumps and divots! Help! Haha

Love all your videos!! Nice to be able to laugh during this stay-at-home deal. Question: In the beginning of your video you mention that you added ONE drop of Alcohol ink to the epoxy, however, towards the end you're cleaning up some bumps that got in the white and you say acrylic paint. Which done did you use? Paint or inks? Thank you SO much for the great tutorials and for making me laugh!!!

Ah, I did both...I didnt realize that I didnt mention the white acrylic. I only used a few drops of the acrylic and I think it was old and had hardened chunks in it. Since then I think prefer to just use the alcohol ink in the epoxy

This video been so much funny man oh God, and those tumblers look so beautiful. Im so glad you tested out new techniques with real sand on this one, the blowing torch works great for the fundation of the wave and the hairdrier creates that nice ripple effect. ps: next step.... footprints on the sand and little boats floating on the waves 🤭😬

So I just finished doing a mica tumbler. I have a rhinestone initial I'd like to a rhinestone initial on my cup. Do I sand just around where the Initial is going to be placed then Resin. Or sand the whole cup for the resin re-application?
