These artists included the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and many more. Don't forget that these 'legends' were trying to make music in the 40s/50s & to a lesser extent in the early 60s, in a country that was still largly segregating them, as 'lesser' human beings. There was a great TV programme on BBC4 about it. Look it up.

you are mixing apples and oranges dude. europe was never ground for blues. blues could not happen anywhere but there. same as america was not ground for extreme metal for example.
EXACTLY what i thought! If it happened here in Manchester, England, the people would love it n be falling over themselves to see. If it Happened in London, the too cool for school pricks would carry on walking, as happened here! Is San Francisco the London of USA then?
