You d'a man Seasick Steve!! A true modern day bluesman, busking, and playing like he own's the city's street-side. It's good to see him "back out west", but unlike playing on stage in the UK, he's on the street in the US! Keep on playin' Steve!
The fact that he played those two particular songs on a bustling street in Frisco, just about as far West as you can get, is pure titillation. As a southern man, i cant help but get jazzed up when I hear and see stuff like this.
Hi! glad you and so many other people have enjoyed this video... steve said it's one of my favorites.... no, i had no idea he was going to be busking on Haight St... i knew he was performing at a club in town at night, but just happened to be walking on haight st (where musicians often perform) and recognized him and started shooting...
yeah, it was totally by accident. i knew he was doing a show the next nite in town but was just walking on haight st, recognized him from pictures (and his name was on his guitar), and started filming... (lucky i had my camera with).... it's one of my favorite videos!
Spent about a week down there in 1970 with the wino's and hippies. Was quite an experience for a young small town boy. Strangest bunch of cats I ever saw or will see. Couldn't imagine staying but it was quite an experience. Actually it broke my heart to be honest. Went up to the Russian River to recover. Man ole Steve play a gold fish bowl. The human being is something ain't we? Sounds a lot like ZZ Top or is it ZZ Top sounds a lot like Steve.
This is so not a joke, I got into Sea Sick Steve one day and loved his work. Then I checked that same day to see if he is going to be touring in my area. And that NIGHT he had finished a show in SF a few towns over from me. I was PISSED I didn't listen to him earlier.
All of that and only 2 people put some money in, wow, people nowadays, that was epic, wish i was there, still can't believe so many people just walked on by :/

@FunnyStashVideos i was the only one filming.... a small crowd gathered to watch him play.... there were three or four different people busking on different parts of haight street that day... one or two (british) people recognized him, but the others just stopped to watch because he was so good
@mikedx1 Well done man (great recording), but can i ask for future reference was there like a huge bunch of photographers (press etc;) behind you, or was it only you.
Trouble is, when he does break in USA, we'll never see him in Europe again. It takes so much time travelling to promote over there, and he says he hates travelling, he'll concentrate on that market. By the way, have you ever wondered what his guitar case looks like?
