I loved the chat! I'm guessing that Elizabeth was elevated to Head Writer during Lindsay's absence during WGA strike. It was refreshing to hear a discussion about the full ensemble of characters, and the exciting teases about season eleven storylines. I love the direction the writer's room is taking.
Does not surprise me at all that Henry is the Fam favourite ❤️ I would love for him to be part of the reason that Nathan n Elizabeth finally step into a courtship maybe have him give Nathan a pep talk about not wasting time n using himself and Abigail as an example. Don’t waste time willing on what have been take hold of what can be sort of thing ❤

I love the Mei/Mike Hickam story. Can't wait to see both of Fiona's and Faith's storylines. Please, please bring in a love interest for charismatic, dreamy Lucas.
Ladies nothing connected for me. Everything was so confusing. We were left to assume many things that happened between seasons 9 & 10. Someone needs to read the “show bible”. Are we to forget about the bond that had developed between Lucas and Little Jack in season 9. The off screen relationship between Hyland and Chris was very close and cute. It’s truly disappointing that Little Jack has in a sense lost another “dad”.
The connectedness we reference was the water theme. Yes. Loss of a relationship is a hard truth for Elizabeth as a single mom. Fortunately, we know that in Hope Valley, Lucas and Little Jack Can continue to enjoy a bond. We hope that connection becomes clear in S11.
Indeed, that is common in TV and film. For example, Peter Deluise copied the Yosts’ soda fountain from “It’s A Wonderful Life”; the shot of Elizabeth’s skirt going down the lit path in the “take a walk with me” proposal was based on the “Wizard of Oz.”
Henry, Coulters, and Canfields had the best script of the show. Bill's was also nice but the rest were very short and not much storyline to it. The writing was not comparable to previous seasons. It is totally a different story that is trying to continue where season 9 left off but not working with it. Showrunner actually wrote two of the episodes in this season. The 100th episode and the last episode but there were comments that it could have been more sensitive and better written. There are also other new writers along with the long standing writers so this season doesn't align with previous seasons.
