Ciao everyone! I’ve organized my seasonless curated closet and am doing a closet tour for today’s video! I’m also sharing what I bought for fall and how I’m styling these fall items to create some fall outfits for the season.

Love your blue coat, yellow turtleneck, white shirt and minimalistic watch. Love that you are into shoes. I literally am in love with some of my shoes. Still too warm in LA to wear my long sleeve turtleneck shirts. I have worn my sleeveless ones instead. This season I have embraced the western/prairie trend. Didn’t feel like going out and thrifting new things for it. Shopping my closet. Paired a white Van Halen T-shirt with a lion logo in rust, yellow and blue and rust trim on collar and sleeves with a peach high low chiffon skirt, three quarter sleeves peachy rust corduroy jean jacket, tan western boots and a beige and light brown straw purse. Definitely appropriate for our weather. In Japan we dress for TPO (time, place, occasion). I think it is a helpful measure.

I had a closet like that, so I built supports on both sides and put a curtain rod in the middle , worked like a charm. Of course the closet is wide enough to make the addition in the center

Your closet is coming along nicely Alyssa. I love your new finds...dang, I had a cobalt blue coat for a few years but no longer have it - wishing I still had it now; looks great with the brown accessories too. I am a regular at our local SA as well - I have found so many quality name brand items there which has saved me a lot of money over the years; generally scout for leather (love your new skirt), suede, wool items, blazers and denim. aw makes sense - since a lot of vintage items are now into 80's and 90's the silhouettes are more generous ... 40s and 50s would likely fit a petite figure more but tougher to find in good condition. You could also have something altered since a thrifted find wouldn't cost too much? Hoping you get lucky and happy hunting! :) Thank you for watching! xo

Alyssa Beltempo thanks for answering and for the tip on the 40’s and 50’s!! Never thought of that! I’m guess that the fact that North Americans and Europeans tend to be on the taller side, and maybe that brands weren’t as inclusive back in the days with the size range as they are now, also complicates things. Love the new blue. It is amazing to see how many viewers are looking for a new coat for fall/winter. Tried some on this past week in a dept store but no luck. Plan on hitting up a couple of thrift stores this week. Maybe some day soon all of your shoes can live together. Mine are much happier since they were reunited. Now that you have more space I’d love a video on how/if you plan to keep it from getting filled up. You mentioned shopping only from a list, any other tips?

Hi there! Yes, I will definitely be documenting this. I don't plan on filling it more than it needs to be and definitely don't want to accumulate things just for the sake of it. I’m just beginning a journey of trying to have a more minimal wardrobe. I need to donate a ton of things that I never wear (or have literally never worn), and really concentrate on the items that I decide to bring into my closet. I’m a bit all over the place with my style, but it’s always a dress... or maybe a skirt & sweater. Having things that coordinate isn’t all that important for me, since most of my outfits are a single item. I loved your video about layering a sweater over a dress, so I’ve bought a couple of pullovers to add to my more summery dresses, so I can wear them through the fall! Thank you!

Great finds. I love your tip of sticking to a list to stay focused during shopping. Do you have a list you have created that u can share of closet staples? Maybe something that can be printed off and used as a checklist? Love your creativity with outfits.

I have had a great classic white shirt on my list for quite awhile. Too bad the one you shared is sold out. It looks like I need to carve out time to perfect my own design and just create it! Thank you for sharing the new closet. For my own clothes, I don't love plastic bins, and in fact built a wooden "trunk" for my sweaters last winter. But, I'm glad you've found a way to work with the space you have in a way that you like. :)
