Thank you so much for posting this. I literally cried thinking of the embarrassment and anger with myself I had when I wasn’t able to ride the first roller coaster I waited 3 hours in like for on a high school trip - first time at Six Flags. I was 400 pounds my sr. Year in high school. I have lost 130 pounds 5’8 and size 16 jeans but I’m still so fearful of the embarrassment. I feel comfortable going to Universal with my size 30 husband now, and am so happy they have a tester. That “stare” walking off the ride is literally haunting!

Thank you so much for this video. I'm a big girl and I usually avoid theme parks because of it. I love Rollercoasters but at the moment thats mostly not an option. Its good to see the different choices

Thanks for the video, I’m 5’11 and 270 down 30 lbs from a few months ago and I fit in all the rides we went on! I was super scared about gringotts because that was my favorite ride but I pulled the lap bar down as I sat the first couple of times and then after that I sat and pulled it down without squeezing and putting much effort into it. It is much more forgiving than I thought it would be. Velocicoaster I rode twice and got kicked off on my third time, turns out the seat towards the back of the train read differently than the ones in the front. Next time I go I hope to have no restrictions at all and won’t have to move to a different seat or request special seats.

I got my first rejection today at Seaworld, and tomorrow( today) I go to universal so I’m super nervous.. I don’t wanna feel embarrassed again but I also don’t wanna shy away from ALL the rides so this helped a lot

Most theme park rules for plus size restrictions near future. Tyre Sampson have weight 387lbs on drop tower on March 24, 2022 before incident. If carnival ride will add plus size with weight restrictions: 287lbs or lower before carnival ride near future.

I was turned away from a ride at legoland, California. I had to do the walk of shame in front of a huge crowd, it got super quiet 😩. I was so embarrassed. There was a man bigger than me who was able to ride, because he was able to contort himself to fit... Thank you so very much for posting!!

I’m 6’5 280 pounds just came from a 2 weeks vacations from Orlando Fl, we stayed at the Disney Art of animation Resort, the only little struggle I had was the Harry Potter motorbike ride, they fit tested me cause of my long legs but thank GOD I fitted in cause that’s the BEST ride in universal !!!

I'm going to magic kingdom, universal and islands of adventures in September on my birthday.. I lost 22 pounds so far ! I weighted 287 before my last year trip and now I'm at 267.4 this year. My butt and I think my thighs were my problem with some of the rides and my bottom stomach also. But I got time ! My best for myself and you on trips is, just eat healthy and workout tbh while I'm on vacation so I wont embarrassed myself again. Because, last year trip at sea world and island of adventures I couldn't fit on some rides. i was sad and hurt because i wanted to go on the rides that i saw and love so its hard when you feel u eating bad food makes you cant even go on your fav rides smfh

My family and were thinking of going to Universal Studios which we've never gone to. I know at Disneyland/Disneyland is family friendly as well as overweight friendly and has made me included as a person. I heard different from Universal. I'm 5'4 and about 265/270. I would love to see you get on all the rides that you can possibly can and put a list of which rides you were able to fit in. That would give me an idea more less if it's worth going. I'm not so much of looking at parades people dancing, acts, shows. I'm more of a thrill rider and I'm gonna speak a whole lot of money especially for an out of towner I have to make sure I'm able to ride as much as possible and get my money's worth.

Thank you for this video. I wouldn't call myself plus sized, but I'm definitely no skinny Minnie. I am 5'10", 200 pounds, and I wear 36" jeans. I had problems with Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket while at the Universal resorts. While I could fit in those seats, they were extremely uncomfortable. The restraint was so tight against my gut that I felt uncomfortable just sitting on the ride. When you included forces against you during the ride, it was unbearable a few times. I wouldn't even realize they had modified seats if I hadn't seen this video. I was even on a VIP tour and neither the tour guide, nor any ride operators (cast member) let us know there were modified seats. Had I known, I might have a different opinion about Rip Ride Rocket, I hated it because I was so uncomfortable.

Size inclusivity at universal sucks! I'm a size 14 (women's) with a bigger hips and I couldn't even fit on the ride I wanted to ride the harry Potter rollercoaster but didn't fit :/

I could not fit on the Harry Potter ride and now that you explain it I feel like the automatically put me in the modified seat. Completely embarrassing.

This has nothing to do with fat shaming.... Seriously, go take a course on physics and find out why overweight fat or large people shouldn't be riding roller coasters... If the ride is not balanced people die.

Yeah maybe you should lose some weight a be a better role model for your kids. There’s a reason there’s restrictions. If you weight to much you’re going to get hurt or break something. The force multiplies your body weight. Just be a man and be healthy if you really want to go on

It’s almost like allowing yourself to become obese makes life more difficult. Your thighs, buttocks, and stomach region all would have likely fit in those seats if you were closer to the weight body fat percentage recommended for an adult biological male of your height and build by medical professionals. I get that it’s embarrassing, or some may feel excluded and discriminated against. But it’s the same thing as a body builder with massive shoulders and chest. They push their body way beyond they average proportions, and in turn they struggle to find clothes that fit in stores, and must find a tailor, or shop at specialty store because of their own life choices. If somebody takes in far more calories that they burn continually, and doesn’t properly manage their diet and exercise to maintain a healthy weight, that’s their life choice. They may have depression, or conditions that somewhat contribute to their weight gain. But that’s up to the individual to manage. Nobody is putting a feeding tube down their throat and pouring food in to plump them up, it’s self inflicted. I’ve been obese, but I changed my diet, and adjusted my lifestyle to be more active and lost the weight, and have managed to maintain it. Nobody should shame companies into providing more accessibility for people who aren’t able to control themselves from eating themselves into obesity. There are people who genuinely cannot go on these rides by no fault of their own, because they grew to be far to tall, like Shaq. In there I could see an argument that these companies discriminate against them by not including options for them to enjoy the same rides.

I know what rides you can do wider guys ! THE FAST FOOD COASTER !!
