Technically, Westbrook was drafted by the sonics. It was a week before the move was official. If you look at him on draft night, he’s wearing a sonics hat and holding a sonics ball. With that being said, no I do not include them as the same team.
I hope the Sonics come back to the NBA soon. What Clay Bennett did was ridiculous, as a Cleveland sports fan I know what it’s like to lose a team, it sucked when the Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens.
As a Knicks fan one of the things that makes me feel so greatful is the tragic loss of the Sonics. Although Dolan should be sent to hell for what he did. Clay Bennett should have a 5 stars hotel all for himself in there. I can't imagine one day waking up and knowing that I'll never go the Garden again. But hopefully but won't be the last time y'all witness a Sonics game.
