I think both. Expecially back to back. Maybe react first individually to drivers and then to them together. Like first Lando and then Daniel and after that Lando and Daniel together. Or who ever you are reacting 🙂

this video didn't at all show off how much of a jokester he is :c seb is one of the most loved drivers currently, but at the time of his dominance, people didn't like him very much because they found him arrogant... seb is a wonderful man i would love to see more of your reactions to him

Tbf I have seen this interview before and it is horrible! The host literally NEVER let's Seb finish his answers and that's such a shame, because Seb is one of the most interesting and intelligent people in the sport. I think Sebastian handled this quite perfect but I would never come back to this show if I was him!

It would be cool to see something looking at Seb and Lewis Hamilton, who are very long-time rivals, but have also become good friends (despite past contretemps). They're known for being very different people, but have a unique relationship.

That interview was notoriously poor on Letterman's part. The man hardly let Seb complete any of his answers, constantly interrupting him mid-sentence. Letterman was a great late show host, but for the life of me I don't know why he was this awful during Seb's interview.

Like you said I did feel too that he was getting very agitated by being cut off. I do think that's a very american talkshow thing to do but he handled it very nice. It's always a bit awkward interviews with him outside of the paddock like when he came on top gear and all the other PR stuff they got to do. But the press after races and quali get to see his more fun side and him joking around also with others on the grid. This felt a bit more stuck up in a sense.

I’m really curious how you factor culture into your analysis? I feel like culture factors so heavily into what we see as a “normal” communication style and it’s so easy just to view other people through the lens of the culture we grew up in. For example, what is seen as direct in America could be very rude in Japan. Or the implied meaning of a comment by a Brit could be completely lost on a German, because we’re not all automatically tuned in the same way to the meaning of comments or gestures. Obviously personality plays a huge part and we can’t stereotype everyone from the same culture but I think it’s really important to acknowledge it’s there. I recently read The Culture Map by Erin Meyer and found it so interesting. Also how much do you think people change their communication style when English is their second or third language?

Nice spot on the level of annoyance of Sebastian. Looking at his face I tend to think he is annoyed but at the same time realizes there is no good way to make it better. I have watched a few of the F1 video's and wanted to remind you that Kimi just dislikes doing media and you say something about the man through media. I understand you cannot have all the info but maybe another driver is a better subject despite people asking for Kimi. I have read a book by a mechanic of Kimi where he explains it whilst having real insight. Marc Priestly is the mechanic and he is also on youtube. I am impressed by your observational powers, I will watch more, thanks

love both solo and teammate reactions, although i think teammates do bring out each others' personalities more. would love reactions on pretty much everyone on the grid. Carlos and Charles, Carlos and Lando, Daniel and Max, Pierre and Yuki, Seb and Charles, etc. are all great. Also the twitch quartet (Lando, Charles, Alex and George). Honestly they are all intresting people to watch, so whatever you end up watching I'll be happy. Thank you, and appreciate you! *also sorry for any mistakes*

Hi Max, I'd love if you were able to do a comparison of George Russell (F1 driver for Mercedes) in 2021 and then in 2022. It seems like lots of fans opinion of him has changed this year and he has gone from being a widely liked driver in 2021 to widely disliked this year. I am interested to hear if you see any changes in his communication style that may have been a part of this change in public perception. Thanks!

I watched the whole interview and I have to say this made me hate Letterman. The old man interrupted Seb every time Seb answered and could let Seb finish his sentence. I agreed with you that Seb did show that he was annoyed by Letterman interrupting. It appeared that Letterman was trying to intimidate Seb and showed Seb his dominance and superiority (these behaviours are often found in Americans) but Seb didn’t care and kept it civil, calm while showing Letterman that he didn’t feel threatened by the old guy and answered the question truthfully and tried to give the audience the correct understanding. I used to hate Seb in his highest point of his career, not because I was tired of watching him winning but because of his treatment towards Mark Webber, his then teammate.
@XBR4Da
@XBR4Da 2 месяца назад
Letterman wasn't intimidating him. He's a big motorsports fan and invited him on the show despite the large majority of the audience not knowing who he was or anything about F1. It was more likely he was trying to keep the interview quick and high energy so the audience got to learn more about Seb in the short space of time he had

Fair critique. I actually don’t expect many people to come to my Patreon for this at all. My main intent is to keep it more engaging for the entirety of the video. I feel if I don’t cut it, there will be a bigger falloff and as a result RU-vid won’t push my videos as much. That said, if there’s demand for even longer videos, this is good to know. Thanks.
