When you do a fishing catch and cook. Save the fish scraps like the skeleton and guts then freeze it to use later. Then use that in the traps as bait. Always worked good for me.

I’m from Florida and we spent a lot of time at a pond in the summer. Dad would hitch up the mule and wagon and off we would go for a week at the time. Some of the the best days of my life. Still love fishing as much as ever. Enjoy your shows and glad to see you getting your children interested in it.

Just saw this video from 2019. Been watching your channel for the last two days. I am 56 and disabled so I spend a lot of time on RU-vid. When I was Houston's age in this video I used to love when it rained because there were several deep ditches in and around my neighborhood that held a lot of water or so I thought. For a week or so after a good rain I would go crawdad hunting and catching. I had an old man for a neighbor probably in his early 70's he was creole and he would pay me a nickel a piece for a finger and a half length crawdad what he called eatin size. He would put them in his gumbo. He was born in Louisiana and he sounded just like the old Cajun cook that was on tv for so long. And this video brought those memories back to me. I was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas and moved around throughout the years. I finally settled in between Gore,OK. And Vian,OK and have water all around me Lake Tenkiller,Illinois river, Arkansas River, tons of creeks and I still miss them days spent in the ditches and culverts catching bloodtiped pincher crawdads, and eating tiny sour green apples out of our sixty year old apple tree. My grandpa planted it when he bought his land and built his house He and my Grandmother we're the Tomato King and Queen of AR sometime around the late thirties or early to mid forties. Joyce and Reba Bull. They raised fields of tomatoes and hired people to pick them when money was scarce. Anyway I'm gonna quit rambling on and say thank you guys for reminding me of better times.

Mr, Huston is a awesome guy. He was in NW Arkansas for a tournament and I saw him pull into a hotel. I pulled in behind him to get him to sign a pic for me. He saw my uniform because I was a security guard at that time and he hired me to keep a eye on his boat so people would not mess with it. I have been a big fan of his all my life.

You guys have no idea how jealous I am of you getting the opportunity to fish with the legend. Just like you Daniel I grew up with a father that fished the Indiana bass federation circuit. I've been following Jimmy for awhile now and I hope he continues to fish the FLW circuit. I just wish that Houston knew the level of bass fishing guru that he is getting the privilege of being around. Man guys enjoy the moment and take it all in.
