The funniest thing about this to me is that Mumbo and Grian making terrible puns to each other for nearly an hour would be just as in-character even if it wasn’t related to their secret tasks

The irony of Grians task being “tell three bad jokes where no one laughs” and him getting upset that Mumbo had the same task which made Mumbo feel so guilty is hilarious

I love the innocence Bdubs and Mumbo had when they wanted to call themselves the Axis. Cleo yet again saving the boys from committing atrocities

This is so hyperspecific but I love how both Grian and Mumbo had the exact same reaction to the wood not stacking when they got their tasks

If Grian's goal was to make jokes that no one would laugh at, maybe targeting the one person who always laughs at his jokes wasn't the best idea. Although the fact that he was the one to immediately instigate the pun-off was probably the best outcome Mumbo could have asked for.

I love how Mumbo says "I cant make puns, im not a pun person" and then Grain hands him the easiest formula possible

The immediate horror from Cleo at the Axis suggestion and the genuine cluelessness of the others had me almost crying

What a hilarious first session!!

Grian choosing to do puns for his bad jokes, while you were doing tasks specifically aimed at puns is pure gold. Now I get why you were on such a roll with them, Grian really served you the opportunity on a silver platter by starting the pun train

Definitely don't call yourselves "The axis" As a teacher herself, Cleo's reaction was warranted

Something is so sweet about Mumbo stressing about his tasks and then Grian showing up and suddenly the task is already done lmao

"we're gonna cause... *a fence"* is probably the best pun Mumbo came up with. everything about it - the buildup, Mumbo realising what his next move will be and *audibly smiling* as he talks, the delivery, the fact Grian was facing away down a tunnel so Mumbo *perfectly* volleyed the fence over him to land on the block directly in front of Grian right as he said it - it's phenomenal. i have watched this part 78 times.

For someone who calls himself not social he figured out Scar's hard task really fast. You can really tell from his voice when he says "that's a lot of names coming from you".

The fact that in Last Life, traps did less damage due to a setting error, meaning Mumbo's traps could have killed a lot more people. I wonder how many kills he'll get this season!!

Mumbo and Grian together make some of the most iconic moments in the Life Series and in probably any short-term SMP ever made.

I like how Mumbo could have easily avoided the "top of the roof" issue by giving the house an even width. The he could have just put two stairs there. That would also make it possible to make the doors actually usable without having to go into crawling mode or anything.

Watching Grian's pov and finding out that his taks basically made your task 10 times easier made this episode 10 times more hilarious 😂😂
