Man, you can tell this game came out after Secret of Mana. The combat looks smoother and the UI looks loads better to me. Those dudes definitely look like they have green pumpkin heads. Reminds me of a Link to the Past. I thought Agahnim looked like a guy with his mouth open and a bad haircut until many playthroughs later I realized what I thought was his head was actually a crown.
