I have just found your reviews of denture adhesives. I have just been wearing dentures for a few weeks and I am still trying different adhesives. Thanks for your observations on these products. I really appreciate it.
I’ve been watching all your videos and they’ve been helping me so much Justin!🙏🏼 I’m wicked young and just like you my family struggled financially/getting good insurance. I finally just went through a full top extraction, and partial bottom besides 8 in the front (including wisdoms). I didn’t get immediate dentures but am counting down the days till I do. Im post 5 days now and doing “okay” pain wise, but swelling is kicking my ass and I may be encountering some of these bone spurs you’ve mentioned you had. Calling to make a follow up tomorrow to make sure all is well so I can continue my journey to have a beautiful smile again. BTW YOUR TEETH LOOK AMAZING!!! Also your speech from when you first got them till now or even your 2-3 month mark is absolutely amazing!!! You’ve got no clue how much these videos make me feel better mentally and emotionally about this journey! Hope to keep seeing your videos!
👋 Yes nice and clear video! I only use secure it seems to hold the dentures in pretty well and I haven't had any luck with the others. The only issue is you can't buy it in the store which makes Amazon a must.
I've only had my dentures about 3 weeks now I ❤ your videos lol I'm trying all the different adhesives I'm going to try the fixodent you suggested tomorrow I've had great luck with the poligrip max on my bottom partial & fixodent professional on the top. Is it normal to use 2 different ones ? My bottom is a partial I've still got 4 teeth so I don't really need much grip on the bottom lol
I love your videos ; they give me so much encouragement. I would like for you to review the secure strips for the bottom denture. My bottom denture is my biggest challenge, and I was thinking about trying the secure strips.
I have been using Secure for 4 years n I love it. I have tried most adhesive brands including Fixodent( definitely did not like sorry) Secure hold my dentures for many hours
I am a nube to dentures. I still have my temporary dentures. I have tried fixedent,it did the job,but I could not stand the gluey mess it left on my gums. I read online that Secure didn’t leave a mess in your mouth. So I tried it,same thing. I just can’t stand that felling,I couldn’t get it out soon enough . Do you have any tips for me. Thanks👍🇺🇸🤪
Have you tried Secure and Fixodent Powder together? I use Fixodent glue and powder now. But i was given 2 tubes of secure and wanted to see if it works decent.
Started using adhesive yesterday with Dr B's. Less is more I learned from another site, so used about half what they tell you to just to see what sort of hold it gave. Also, followed that site's 'trick' of waiting at least a half hour before eating or drinking anything. Make sure the denture is dry before adding adhesive. I used a washcloth to soak up any moisture. Worked fantastic and still had to 'wrestle' with it slightly to get them out that night.
Justin: if money is no object for you. would you consider getting like an all on 4 implant over denture? or you think denture is better overall and why?
I think that both cameras are good. It depends on what you are more comfortable with. This whole experience is a personal one and what works well for me may not work well for the next person. I have tried both Fixadent Ultra Max Hold and the Polygrip extra care (I think) and am finding that the Polygrip works best for me. It holds longer and when I have to take it out there is still some of the paste on the denture. Fixadent is completely dissolved. Everybody is unique. How long did you wait between the immediates and the permanents? Aspen suggests that I could start the process next visit or so but that would be just six months, which I think is too soon.
You are absolutely right, things that work for me might not work the best for you. I got my permanent at 9 almost 10 months. I wish I would of waited a little longer since I did have more shrinking. 6 months is too soon
Justin I love your nd Michells video for real. I was just watching Michelle and just literally got the secure in the mail today and just applied it a few minutes ago. I will give feedback after I have it in for a bit! XO
Quality is great! Either Camera seems to be just fine. The quality is good on both of them you can hardly even tell that you're using a front facing/selfie camera. Are you using an android or an iPhone? I use android and I love it.Thank you for another informative video! Your videos are always straight to the point and full of information and your opinions and it is greatly appreciated
Justin, I am a new denture wearer, my bottom denture won’t stay in! I have had my bottom denture for 2 months. I have tried secure…the only one that works until I eat or drink is Fixident Ultra. I have also used the Fixident powder with it. I have waited 2 hours before eating or drinking. Nothing works…
Hi Liz I was having the same problem Justin recommended that I talk to my Dentist about an adjustment which is the same as a soft reline. They did it and now my dentures fit a lot better. Yes I have to use denture cream but the hold is all day from 9am to sometimes the next morning. I almost gave up but hang in there and I promise from experience it will get better.
I like to secure a lot better With a fixodent powder add it on top, mainly because the fixodent paste it’s so hard to get off my gums. The secure is really easy to remove for me!!! Thanks for the video
Keep yours as long as freakin possible! I'm a month in with immediate dentures and I Hate it. Can't talk right, can't eat with them at all, I've tried every paste, powder, cream, strip, wafer, and Nothing holds them in more than a few hours. My pallet is sore and I have a sore on my upper right gum. It's ridiculous! I hade 15 teeth pulled at 1 time and immediate dentures put in the same day. I had severe periodontal disease from a medicine I've been on for 7 yrs. Extremely weak teeth due to it also. I had really no choice but I'll def say besides a absolutely gorgeous perfect snow white smile that I'm beyond happy with, everything SUCKS so BAD! Like for real! It's awful. Hang onto to your teeth as long as possible exhausting EVERY outlet possible before you make the denture journey! I'm miserable.
@@JustinBsDentureJourney I have used polydent powder and I noticed that after a while it starts to ooze out when you bite down and I can feel it in my mouth and I feel the stickiness on my lips too, drinking a lot breaks it down, and it’s gross
I have switched from Secure to Fixodent pure strength for 2 reasons. #1 almost twice as much per tube for the same price, #2 eliminates the burning sensation. Plus it holds just as long and easier to clean off the denture.
